Jerry Jones: Glad to have Brandon Carr

IRVING, Texas – If Brandon Carr had to do it all over again, the Dallas Cowboys' cornerback might go for the pass breakup on Mark Sanchez's throw to Jeremy Maclin that led to a 72-yard completion for the Philadelphia Eagles again. “It’s one of those in the heat-of-the-moment type things,” Carr said. “My mentality, my personality I have is to kind of go after the ball. I just didn’t come up with it. But at the same time I’m not going to turn off my aggression and turn off how I play.

Jason Garrett: No decision to be made on Brandon Carr

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett doesn't think there's anything to decide regarding Brandon Carr's starting status. Despite giving up a 72-yard catch to Jeremy Maclin in last week’s win against the Philadelphia Eagles, a 27-yard touchdown catch the previous week to Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and not recording an interception this season, Carr will remain with the top defense Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tale Of The Tape: Breaking Down Brandon Carr In The Chicago Game

An All-22 video review of Brandon Carr's game against the Bears. According to Pro Football Focus, Thursday's game against the Bears was the second best game of the season for Brandon Carr. Looking at PFF's stats that seems a little strange; they credit him with giving up five receptions and two touchdowns! To make sense of that seeming contradiction, let's see what the tape has to say. Play 1:  On the first play of the game we see Carr, (yellow circle), lined up on the right side of the formation, about five yards off the line of scrimmage. It's a run play. There are a few...

Brandon Carr's inconsistency perplexes Cowboys

IRVING, Texas -- Mention Brandon Carr's name around the Dallas Cowboys' Valley Ranch training complex these days and you get a lot of puzzled looks. Carr, contrary to popular opinion, hasn’t been awful this season; he’s been average. The Cowboys, as they should, want more from a player earning $7.5 million this season and counting $12.2 million against the team’s salary cap. Carr has not intercepted a pass this season and has gone 16 games without one.

Rod Marinelli on Brandon Carr's play: 'He's been solid it seems'

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr is one of the highest paid players at his position in the NFL. He signed a five-year $50.1 million deal with the Cowboys, the going-rate for that position, in 2012. Carr has struggled this season. With four games remaining, Carr has no interceptions, just five pass breakups and according to STATS Inc., been burned a team-leading 34 times while allowing four touchdowns. But Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli was either being polite or honest when asked about Carr's play this season.
