Passing along a few contract notes for New England Patriots wide receivers Brandon Gibson and Kevin Dorsey, who were signed this week: Gibson signed a one-year deal worth $825,000, and it included a $40,000 signing bonus. There is an additional $40,000 bonus as part of the deal. Gibson's salary-cap charge, as part of the minimum-salary benefit, is $665,000. As for Dorsey, it's a one-year deal worth $510,000. With Dorsey having missed time in each of his first two NFL seasons with injuries, it's not a surprise that the contract includes a split salary of $333,000 in the event of injury.
