Jets' Brandon Marshall believes he's still an elite wide receiver

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall said he is "confident" he is still an "elite receiver." What It Means: Marshall was hampered by injuries all year, and the quarterback situation in New York was among the worst in the league. Marshall is owed a reasonable $7.5 million in the final year of his deal in 2017, but it is possible the Jets decide to move on. Marshall will be 33 in March, but he says he wants to play into his late 30's. Among the 41 receivers with at least 100 targets in 2016, Marshall's Reception Net Expected Points per target of 0.58 ranks...

Darrelle Revis: “Dark Cloud” Came Over Team After Richardson, Marshall Confrontation in Kansas City

Looking back on the season, Darrelle Revis pinpointed a confrontation between Brandon Marshall and Sheldon Richardson in Week 3 after the team’s loss to Kansas City. "During that game, we wasn't on the same page as players. It happened on the sideline and it trickled into the locker room after the game," Darrelle Revis said Sunday after the Jets' 30-10 victory over the Bills at MetLife Stadium. "It just left a dark cloud over our head. "Adversity always strikes for a team. And we tried to nip it in the bud. We actually did move forward and we thought we were OK because we thought we had...

Jets' Brandon Marshall does not practice on Thursday

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall (shoulder, hip) did not practice on Thursday, despite earlier reports that he was going to participate. What It Means: Marshall played only 52 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps in Week 16, and being banged up heading into a meaningless Week 17 game, expect his snaps to be very limited if he plays at all. If Marshall does play, our models project him for 63.3 yards and 0.24 touchdowns on 4.41 receptions. Source: Rotoworld.com

Report: Brandon Marshall Halftime Speech Bothered Some Teammates

Sheldon Richardson was openly critical of teammate Brandon Marshall after Saturday’s blowout loss to the Patriots. Rich Cimini indicates it might have stemmed from a pep talk Marshall attempted to give at halftime. While Marshall didn't engage in verbal altercations with any individuals, sources said, he sparked what was described as a raucous locker room. "When we're getting blown out at halftime, there's no reason to be fighting amongst each other," Jets safety Calvin Pryor told ESPN.com. "I think that's why guys were upset because we needed to be fighting against the Patriots, instead...
