NFL's Top 100 Players of 2015: Calvin Johnson makes top 10

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is in the top 10 for NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2015. By his standards, Calvin Johnson had a bit of a down year in 2014. The Detroit Lions went 11-5 and made the playoffs, but Johnson missed three games and "only" had 71 catches for 1,077 yards and eight touchdowns. Many other receivers would gladly take numbers like that, but for the man known as Megatron, it was a slight step backward. Despite this, Johnson is still viewed as one of the top players in the NFL by his peers. I say that because he has not yet been revealed in NFL Network's...

Lions notes: Calvin Johnson, Brian Suite, more

Lions notes looks at Calvin Johnson, Brian Suite and much more. Calvin Johnson returned to Twitter last week. If Johnson ever ends up at a WWE event to watch Roman Reigns, who was his teammate in college at Georgia Tech, let's hope things go a bit smoother than they did for Johnny Manziel last week. On ESPN, Pro Football Focus ranked Johnson as the No. 4 most overpaid player in the NFL. On the flip side, Rashean Mathis came in at No. 5 and DeAndre Levy came in at No. 8 on the list of the most underpaid players in the league. Given that he got the biggest signing bonus of all of...

Lions notes: Calvin Johnson, David Ausberry, more

Lions notes looks at Calvin Johnson, David Ausberry and much more. Calvin Johnson will be 30 in September, but he's not too concerned with his age, as evidenced by what he told the Detroit Lions' official site: "Turning 30 can be a boundary, it can be a hindrance, if you let it be, if you let age beat you. I just keep working and keep the same mindset that I’ve kept my whole career. It’s grown and gotten better and I just keep on trying to advance." Even Johnson is getting advice from Lance Moore given Moore's familiarity with Joe Lombardi's offensive scheme. Josh Katzenstein...
