Bengals nominate Carlos Dunlap for Walter Payton Man of the Year award

This is Dunlap’s second nomination for the prestigious award in four seasons. In case you somehow forgot, Carlos Dunlap is one awesome human being. For the second time in four seasons, the Bengals have nominated Dunlap for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which is awarded to the player that best serves his local community and charitable efforts off the field. The honor is one of the most prestigious a player can receive, and the players are nominated by their own teammates, so it’s no understatement that Dunlap’s valuable work off the field has resonated with his...

Wednesday injury report: Joe Mixon and Carlos Dunlap limited

Wednesday injury report: Joe Mixon and Carlos Dunlap limited

A banged-up Joe Mixon is not what the Bengals’ depleted offense needs. Despite having many of its injured guys already on injured reserve, the Bengals still had a long list of injuries during Wednesday’s practice. The most notable were Cordy Glenn (back), Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle) and Vontaze Burfict. Glenn has been out several weeks now, while Kirkpatrick and Burfict just sustained their injuries on Sunday. As for the limited guys, both of the Bengals’ starting defensive ends are banged up, as Michael Johnson (pectoral) and Carlos Dunlap (hip) didn’t get in a full practice today....

The Pro Bowl defensive end got in a limited session after missing Wednesday with a hip injury. That would seem to indicate he’s trending toward playing Sunday, but it’s clear this is more than just a small issue since he’s gone two straight days without a full practice. A.J. Green (toe), Dre Kirkpatrick (shoulder) and Nick Vigil (knee) also remained limited participants on Thursday. Green...

Carlos Dunlap, Michael Johnson, Darqueze Dennard and Cedric Ogbuehi served dinner to the community at the City Gospel Mission ahead of Thanksgiving. The Bengals are lucky to have many selfless players who are always looking to give back to the Cincinnati community. Embracing the holiday spirit, many Bengals have been giving back during Thanksgiving week. For the third year in a row, Carlos Dunlap, Michael Johnson, Darqueze Dennard and Cedric Ogbuehi served dinner to the community at the City Gospel Mission on Monday. And this isn’t just a serve and leave type of thing. The players not...
