Patrick Mahomes breaks three-game touchdown record

Another week, another touchdown record. Last week, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes broke the NFL’s touchdown record for the first two games of the season by getting to 10 scores. In order to tie the record for three games owned by Peyton Manning (12 in 2013), Mahomes would need two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers. He got three (13) and now stands alone. The score put the Chiefs ahead, 21-7. Patrick Mahomes was having an ordinary day at quarterback when he was kind enough to remind us that he doesn’t have ordinary days at quarterback. Third-and-goal at the San Francisco 4-yard line, Mahomes tapped into his inner Brett Favre to deliver this gem of a score.
