INJURY: Kicker Dan Bailey hurts groin, benched as safety Jeff Heath kicks off

A strange situation for the Cowboys. After the Cowboys scored their third touchdown against the 49ers, this one near the start of the second quarter, they strangely decided to go for two. They failed, but why would they try that at that juncture in the game? The answer is kicker Dan Bailey injured his groin at some point in the game, and the Cowboys decided to bench him. The following kickoff was handled by safety Jeff Heath. As for field goals, it appears either Heath of maybe punter Chris Jones will have to handle those.
