Browns re-sign tight end Gerell Robinson, waive defensive lineman Jacobbi McDaniel

The Browns re-signed tight end Gerell Robinson three days after cutting him and waived undrafted rookie defensive lineman Jacobbi McDaniel, the team announced Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Robinson was inactive for three games and dressed but did not play in one other game this season. He was waived on Saturday when the Browns promoted McDaniel from the practice squad to the active roster. McDaniel spent the first six weeks of the season on the practice squad before making his regular-season NFL debut as a backup Sunday in the Browns' 24-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
