Lions practice observations: CB Slay suffers a scare

Rookie Larry Webster had a good day in one-on-one pass-rush drills, while both players competing for the starting right tackle job - Corey Hilliard and LaAdrian Waddle - struggled some. Webster blew past tight end Jacob Maxwell from a wide-nine technique in his first rep of the period and pushed back Hilliard with a good power move to close the period. Jason Jones beat Hilliard twice in the span of a few rushes with the same move, faking inside and then motoring past Hilliard's outside shoulder.
