The NFL off-season is fully upon us, thankfully we have warm weather and fishing to get us through Happy hump day, everyone! We’re halfway to another beautiful, warm weekend, I can’t wait. I’m thinking I may do a prime rib on the smoker this weekend, it’s been a while & I have a hankerin’. Around the DN since our last open thread: There are a lot of the “what if” stories popping up. Some are fun, others make your liver run away, in fear for its life. Ted gets in on the action with What if Dalvin Cook doesn’t get hurt. Ted also asks What If.....Teddy. Okay, Ted nails this...

Vikings RB Latavius Murray shrugs off pay cut, ready to compete with Dalvin Cook

Vikings RB Latavius Murray shrugs off pay cut, ready to compete with Dalvin Cook

When the Vikings approached running back Latavius Murray about a pay cut this year, it wasn’t a hard sell. Never mind that Murray could be returning to a reserve role behind Dalvin Cook, who was lost for the season in Week 4 last October with a torn left ACL. Murray said Tuesday he never gave serious […]

‘What If’: Dalvin Cook Doesn’t Get Hurt

‘What If’: Dalvin Cook Doesn’t Get Hurt

We Continue ‘What If’ Week With A Recent One With as much success as the Minnesota Vikings had last year, there are a couple things that, had they turned out differently, we might have seen a different ending to the 2017 season. One of them, and arguably the biggest ‘what if’ from last year, was the Dalvin Cook injury. In just three games, rookie running back Dalvin Cook had put himself smack dab in the middle of ‘Rookie Of The Year’ conversation. He was one of the leading rushers in the NFL, and had managed to eclipse a career start of Adrian Peterson, the future first ballot...

NFL.com predicts that Dalvin Cook will be the Vikings’ 2018 MVP

NFL.com predicts that Dalvin Cook will be the Vikings’ 2018 MVP

Interesting choice, and not entirely crazy Fans of the Minnesota Vikings everywhere are incredibly excited about the return of running back Dalvin Cook to the offense. He exploded onto the scene last season, as he was near the top of the NFL rushing charts in the early portion of the season. Unfortunately, in the third quarter of Week 4, Cook tore an ACL and saw his season come to an end. Cook’s comeback is one of the bigger stories surrounding the Vikings this offseason, and at least one source is predicting some pretty big things for #33. Dan Hanzus of NFL.com has his predictions for...

The young RB is officially back, one old vet sees the finish line, while an even older vet.........dances? Merry Wednesday, y’all! We say hello to another beautiful spring/summer day, and with the news of Dalvin Cook being back on the field, the day just got better. I’m rooting hard for the kid, he’s one of those who I love to see succeed. Even though the odds were against him, he avoided the pitfalls so many in that situation fall into, and achieved success few ever even dream of. I’m ready to see him, and the team, achieve even more. Dalvin Cook is officially back on the field

This is not a drill! (But it is just OTAs.) It’s been eight months since Dalvin Cook tore his ACL in a Minnesota Vikings’ loss to the Detroit Lions. On Tuesday at the new Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, he took a big step in his comeback. According to Courtney Cronin of ESPN (among other sources), Cook officially participated in 11-on-11 drills today at the team’s OTAs in Eagan. This marks the first real, live football action that Cook has seen since his injury. Prior to today, Cook had been limited to individual work and rehabilitation drills, but was cleared to join the...
