Ranking all 13 of the Seahawks’ new players

Photo by Michael Reaves/ The Seattle Seahawks righted some dire defensive wrongs on Thursday, and set themselves back up to contend for the NFC West title. Two heroes stood out from the game against the Arizona Cardinals, one on either side of the ball, both newcomers to the team. Damien Lewis and Carlos Dunlap bookended the game from the first play to the last, and made it abundantly clear that the newbies are vital to the success of this franchise. It seemed timely to evaluate all the first-year Seahawks and see how they’ve impacted the Seahawks thus far. This is...

What you don’t expect is this level of floppery to be this damn funny. The NFL All-22 footage revealed an amazing exchange between Seahawks rookie Damien Lewis and 49ers rookie and fellow SEC alum Javon Kinlaw. This was early in the 1st quarter and not captured by the FOX broadcast, and I only wish this could’ve been shown live because Twitter...

Seahawks continue to have few penalties, save for one particular rookie

Seahawks continue to have few penalties, save for one particular rookie

Photo by Matthew J. Lee/The Boston Globe via Six games in and the Seattle Seahawks aren’t committing that many penalties. Especially by their own standards. This was a team that used to be king of the NFL in infractions, but they’re holding pace with the best of the division right now. Rookie guard Damien Lewis leads the Seattle Seahawks in penalties, by a wide margin. He’s got six already, one per game, and his 50 penalized yards are double the next player, Brandon Shell. I’ve been keeping tabs occasionally on the fouls committed by the offensive line, as those are the most...
