Dont’a Hightower is using the same trainer as Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman

The entire Patriots team is getting on board with the questionable personal trainer. LB Dont’a Hightower is the latest in a long line of New England Patriots to train under the guidance of Alex Guerrero, according to the Herald’s Jeff Howe. Guerrero gained popularity due to his association with QB Tom Brady and for working with the likes of WR Julian Edelman, WR Danny Amendola, WR Wes Welker, and TE Rob Gronkowski. “Hightower, who is on the physically unable to perform list, has been working with Tom Brady’s trusted trainer [Guerrero] to build strength in his knee before the...

Patriots Training Camp 2017: Day 3 Observations

The Patriots were finally in pads, but there wasn’t a lot of physicality in the practice. Joe Cardona, Danny Amendola, and Malcolm Mitchell returned to practice, although the latter worked on conditioning in the lower fields while the team was doing drills. Practice was fairly short, wrapping up at 11:15 today instead of 11:30 because of Raymond Clayborn’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction, one that was truly deserved. Here are some of my observations for Day 3. Receivers owned the CBs in 1 on 1 drills: The Patriots receivers won the 1-on-1 drills in practice, drawing ire from Matt...

Amendola made some crucial plays last season. Will he get the chance to do it again in 2017? Training camp is here! The NFL's most quiet period has come to an end as the New England Patriots will hold their first practice of this year's camp later today. The 88 players currently under contract will now begin to fight for spots on either the team's 53-man roster or its practice squad. As we have done throughout the offseason, we will continue to take a look at the men fighting for those few select spots on the 2017 Patriots – and to find out who will and might be asked to help the team...

Patriots wideout Andrew Hawkins opts to retire

Wide receiver Andrew Hawkins has announced the news of his decision to retire on @uninterupted. The 31-year-old former Brown, who was a speedy receiver signed by the Patriots during the offseason, made a few plays during the early camps, but was still going to have a tough time cracking the roster with Brandin Cooks, Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell and Danny Amendola in front of him.
