Steelers will be fine at RG if David DeCastro’s broken hand keeps him out vs. the Chiefs

No David DeCastro against the Chiefs? No problem. You know a unit has attained an impressive pedigree backed by coaching and player development when you see a Week-2 injury report that includes a Hall of Fame quarterback, a highly-touted cornerback and a right guard (who might be the very best in the business), but the player you’re least worried about is the right guard. The unit I’m talking about is the Steelers’ offensive line, a line that has produced multiple Pro Bowl players and is coached by a Hall of Famer. Mike Munchak is the coach of the Steelers’ offensive line, and...

Steelers Week 2 Injury Report: Ben Roethlisberger questionable, David DeCastro and Joe Haden doubtful for game against Chiefs

With seven names listed on the Steelers final injury report of the week, there is a good chance a number of key players will miss the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday The Pittsburgh Steelers released their final injury report of the week on Friday afternoon and not all the news it contained appears promising. Although no one has been officially ruled out of the game, the status of seven players is still up in the air, with at least three of them looking unlikely to play on Sunday. Steelers could be missing some key starters against the Chiefs

There are a few injuries worth watching on the Pittsburgh side this week. The Pittsburgh Steelers first injury report of the week Wednesday was rather, err, interesting, as five players sat on the first day of the week. Mike Tomlin listed some big names at his weekly press conference regarding injuries heading into Week 2. The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t just stumble out of the gate in Week 1 while tying with the Cleveland Browns, but they are also dealing with some injuries heading into their Week 2 contest at Heinz Field vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
