Raiders' Marshawn Lynch suspended game for shoving official

NEW YORK (AP) — Oakland running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended for one game without pay by the NFL for shoving a game official during the Raiders' victory over Kansas City on Thursday night. Lynch was ejected from the game after he shoved line judge Julian Mapp. The scuffle started when Oakland quarterback Derek Carr was hit late on a run by Kansas City's Marcus Peters midway through the second quarter.

Carr’s TD pass to Crabtree lifts Raiders to crazy win

On a crazy and tumultous night at the Coliseum, the Raiders somehow found a way to end their five-game losing streak — and they might have saved their season in the process. Derek Carr’s 2-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Crabtree with no time on the clock — after two apparent touchdowns were wiped out — lifted the Raiders to an improbable 31-30 victory over Kansas City. Giorgio Tavechio made the extra point after Crabtree’s touchdown, to give Oakland the last point it needed. The Raiders (3-4) won despite running back Marshawn...

Thursday Night Football open thread: Chiefs at Raiders

A virtual must-win for the Oakland Raiders, who started out 2-0 and have since scored a grand total of 53 points over the course of their four-game losing streak. The Kansas City Chiefs lost their unbeaten record on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they can bury their arch-rivals with a road win on Thursday Night Football. Oh yeah, and Derek Carr is overrated. Just wanted to point that out.

Oakland Raiders beat Kansas City Chiefs: 5 winners and 6 losers

Note: The version of the winners-and-losers article after the Chiefs’ would-be win was done and filed, ready to post. Then the final drive happened, and now it will never see the light of day. The Oakland Raiders pulled off a miraculous comeback Thursday night to stun the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-30. The Chiefs drop to 5-2 on the season. Here are the game’s winners and losers: Winner: Derek Carr and the final drive It doesn’t get any better for Derek Carr than what he was able to do on the Raiders’ final drive, especially after the previous one in which his offense went three-and-out...

Chiefs and Raiders fight, Marshawn Lynch ejected

Chiefs and Raiders fight, Marshawn Lynch ejected

It’s a Chiefs and Raiders game because we have some fighting. The Chiefs and Raiders went at it after Marcus Peters hit Derek Carr late and then Marshawn Lynch was ejected after making contact with an official. The play started because Peters hit Carr late. Chiefs DE Allen Bailey was taking Carr to the ground and I couldn’t hear when the whistle was called but it did look like Peters hit Carr late and he was penalized for hitting him late (I didn’t hear a whistle before he hit him). That’s a bulljive call on Peters. Carr wasn’t dwn.— shannon sharpe (@ShannonSharpe) October...

Marcus Peters on Marshawn Lynch intervention: Family comes first

Marcus Peters on Marshawn Lynch intervention: Family comes first

Marcus Peters doesn’t think his hit on Derek Carr was dirty. And he wasn’t surprised that Marshawn Lynch left the sidelines to come to his aid. “They can say what they want but one thing’s for certain: Family do come first,” Peters said. During the second quarter of the Raiders-Chiefs game Thursday night, Lynch was ejected from the […]

Fantasy Football: Week 7 six-pack

As I begrudgingly turned on Chiefs-Raiders for the first time Thursday night, when it became painfully clear the Cubs' World Series title defense season was over, Amari Cooper was dropping a deep ball from Derek Carr.
