Valentine’s Views: Long-term future still cloudy for Ben McAdoo, Giants

Winning a game was nice, but McAdoo and the Giants still have issues The NFL is a “what have you done for me lately?” business. The last thing the New York Giants did was win a game. That, though, doesn’t mean all is well at 1925 Giants Drive in East Rutherford. McAdoo still has much to prove Things are better for Ben McAdoo today than they were a week ago. The Giants won a game. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been reinstated, apparently having said the magic words the coach wanted to hear. The temperature on McAdoo’s hot seat has been turned down. A little. None of that means...

Broncos have a brutal upcoming schedule

Were the Denver Broncos overlooking the previously 0-5 New York Giants on Sunday? It seems unlikely, given their desire to have a “Championship Mindset” every day, but either way, the Broncos were beaten into submission by the Giants in the Mile High City. Last night was a game the Broncos were supposed to win. Sitting at 3-1 coming into the contest, Denver was fresh off their bye and ready to defend their home turf. The Giants hadn’t won a game and they were reeling, losing four receivers and having to suspend starting cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, too. But, New York played...

Giants-Broncos final score: Five things we learned in Giants’ 23-10 victory

Giants-Broncos final score: Five things we learned in Giants’ 23-10 victory

Playoffs might be a pipe dream, but Sunday gives reason for optimism Maybe we shouldn’t give up on Ben McAdoo, or the 2017 New York Giants, just yet. After a tumultuous week in which the Giants put three wide receivers on injured reserve, including Odell Beckham Jr., and dealt with the fallout of suspending cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, there was a great deal of discussion about whether McAdoo was up to the task of coaching the Giants. One inspired, unexpected victory does not mean the answer is yes. The way this one transpired, though, has to give fans — and the Giants’...
