Which young Falcons deserve a longer look in the preseason finale?

Which young Falcons deserve a longer look in the preseason finale?

For a variety of reasons, these four Falcons deserve some extended burn. There is, mercifully, only a single preseason game remaining. That means one final opportunity for your roster hopefuls and even locked in guys to make their cases for regular season roles, which means it’s likely to be sloppy but maybe actually kind of interesting! The four players below are a mix of strong roster bets (Matt Gono, Duke Riley), roster hopefuls (Olamide Zaccheaus), and guys hanging on to their roster lives by a thread (Giorgio Tavecchio). Duke Riley and Jermaine Grace outperforming Bruce Carter

So what does Falcons LB Duke Riley do now?

So what does Falcons LB Duke Riley do now?

Photo by Gregory Shamus/ Fact: Duke Riley’s fingernails cut themselves Falcons linebacker Duke Riley doesn’t have time on his side. Setting aside the fact that, according to the NFL Players Association, the average NFL career only lasts 3.3 years, Riley also welcomed a new teammate this week: Stephone Anthony, former Saints first rounder turned NFL roster surfer. With that, Riley went from being Foye Oluokun’s backup to a man who might hit the unemployment line within weeks. That’d be a shocking turn of events, given some of the hype surrounding Riley following his addition to...
