  • NFL Free Agency: Arizona Cardinals release Early Doucet, tender Brian Hoyer, two others
    The Arizona Cardinals made a few moves on Saturday, as they get ready for the beginning of the new league year and actual free agency. The said goodbye to a familiar face and tendered offers to four other players. Wide receiver Early Doucet, who signed a two-year free agent contract last offseason, was released by the Cardinals, freeing $1.7 million if salary cap space. He was due to make $2 million in 2013, which is not how much a team wanted to pay its fourth wideout. Doucet struggled in 2012. He appeared in 12 games (three starts) in 2012 and collected 28 receptions for 207 yards...
