Lions players didn’t receive a single All Pro vote, Snacks snubbed again

Lions players didn’t receive a single All Pro vote, Snacks snubbed again

The Lions were shut out of All-Pro voting. On Friday afternoon, the Associated Press announced their selections for the 2018 NFL All Pro first and second teams. Last year, both cornerback Darius Slay and punt returner Jamal Agnew made the All Pro first teams, but they weren’t as lucky this year. No Lions player was named to the All Pro team in 2018. In fact, according to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, no Lions player even received a single vote. Here’s a look at the first and second teams: The 2018 AP All-Pro First Team [1st image] and Second Team [2nd image]...

Lions-Packers inactives: No Kenny Golladay for season finale

Lions-Packers inactives: No Kenny Golladay for season finale

Both teams will be down their best receiver. The Detroit Lions offense has been absolutely awful in the final month of the season. If you were hoping for some sort of resurrection in the season finale against the Green Bay Packers, I’ve got some more bad news for you. Sunday morning, the Lions declared No. 1 receiver Kenny Golladay OUT for Week 17. He leads the list of inactives this week that will force the Lions into playing a lot of backups this week. The Lions have been hit particularly hard at defensive back. Nevin Lawson and Jamal Agnew are also inactive, meaning Detroit will be...

Rick Wagner, Bruce Ellington return to practice; ‘Snacks’ sits

It was a mixed bag for the Lions’ initial Week 16 injury report. It hasn’t been just bad news for the Detroit Lions and injuries. Although they’ve sent Kerryon Johnson, Da’Shawn Hand, Ezekiel Ansah and Michael Roberts to injured reserve over the past week and a half, it appears they’ll actually be getting a few players back before the end of the season. In addition to the activation of cornerback/punt returner Jamal Agnew from IR to the active roster, right tackle Rick Wagner and wide receiver Bruce Ellington returned to practice Wednesday after both missed an entire week of...

The Lions lost one playmaker, but they’re gaining another. Wednesday morning Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia confirmed that rookie running back Kerryon Johnson will be headed to injured reserve, ending his year. However, Patricia also announced that cornerback/punt returner Jamal Agnew will be coming off injured reserve to join the 53-man roster. Agnew was placed on injured reserve back in October after suffering a knee injury in Week 5 against the Packers. A couple of weeks ago, the team brought Agnew back to practice, and while he wasn’t doing all that much, it appears the...
