Play of the Week: A dagger of a pick six

Play of the Week: A dagger of a pick six

Trevor Siemian’s pick six all but sealed the Denver Broncos fate against the New York Giants. Each week I try to find the one make or break play for the Denver Broncos that really set the tone of the outcome of their game. Unfortunately, this game was put away by the New York Giants on this Janoris Jenkins pick six off Trevor Siemian. I didn’t think it was a terrible throw at first, but if you watch the replay you can see it from Siemian’s vantage point. It was a ball he should have never thrown and I can’t for the life of me figure out what he was seeing. The throw...

Giants secondary calls Siemian out for poor play

Landon Collins and Janoris Jenkins both commented on how easily they were able to read Trevor Siemian. Trevor Siemian had a rough night against the New York Giants. When asked how they were able to frustrate him all night, both safety Landon Collins and cornerback Janoris Jenkins noted where Siemian went wrong against them. "He was just holding it too long and not letting it go"Landon Collins on Trevor Siemian. #Broncos #Giants— Ronnie K (@RonnieKRadio) October 16, 2017 interesting comments from #NYGiants CB Janoris Jenkins "we were talking about (Siemian staring down his WRs) on...

SHOCKER: Broncos come out flat, lose to previously winless Giants

The Denver Broncos were outplayed in all three phases of the game in a 23-10 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday evening. A porous offensive line led to a mediocre performance by quarterback Trevor Siemian, who finished with a passer rating of 71.8. Siemien went 29-50 with one touchdown, three interceptions and four sacks. His 376 passing yards were mostly padded during garbage time in the fourth quarter. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins made a pick-six interception. Siemian injured his right shoulder with his failed tackle attempt against Jenkins with 0:48 left in the first half. Backup Brock...

Janoris Jenkins explains why he walked off the field before Sunday’s final snap

No punishment forthcoming for Jackrabbit The suspended Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was not the only New York Giants defensive player to leave the field early on Sunday in the Giants’ loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins left after an Eli Manning fumble sealed the team’s fate. Here is how Jenkins explained what happened: “I didn’t expect the timeout to be called, so I just walked in, as if everybody was going on the field, the game was over and I just went in,” Jenkins said. Could Giants be without Pierre-Paul, Olivier Vernon? It seems increasingly likely that the New York Giants could face injury issues across both lines on Sunday when the host the Los Angeles Chargers. On offense, Weston Richburg (concussion) was not seen at practice. Running back Paul Perkins (ribs) was riding the stationary bike. Want good news? It looked like cornerback Janoris Jenkins (ankle) and running back Orleans Darkwa (back)...

Giants At Eagles Inactive List: Janoris Jenkins Will Play

The Giants will get their number one corner back We knew Friday that the New York Giants would be without some important players when they face the Philadelphia Eagles. That was when we knew that starting linebacker B.J. Goodson and starting right tackle Bobby Hart would be out with leg (shin and ankle, respectively) injuries. We didn’t know whether or not starting corner Janoris Jenkins would play, as he was listed as “questionable” and would be a game-time decision. Well, that time has come and Jackrabbit will play against the Eagles. It remains to be seen how much Jenkins will...

Eli Apple said playing without Janoris Jenkins doesn't change his job description all that much. He still needs to defend passes and make tackles. What it does do, though, is change what others expect from him. For that he is ready.

Giants’ Injury Report: Janoris Jenkins Continues To Be Sidelined

Ankle preventing Jackrabbit from practicing Cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who missed Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions with an ankle injury, was not at practice Thursday for the New York Giants. Jenkins also did not practice on Wednesday. Jackrabbit’s injury was initially not considered to be serious, but “worsened as the week went on,” according to coach Ben McAdoo. Without Jenkins, Ross Cockrell, acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a trade right before the season, filled in as the third corner. He played 39 snaps.
