Caption This: Secondary nickname

There has been plenty of talk about the San Francisco 49ers secondary heading into 2018, and Jaquiski Tartt is looking for a nickname for the group. Tartt posted on Twitter that if you retweet and comment with a nickname for the secondary, you’ll be entered into a contest to win a jersey signed by the entire secondary. I’m not the most creative type when it comes to nicknames, so I thought I’d open the floor to suggestions. I’d be happy to shoot a link to Tartt so the secondary can check out the comments. Drop in your suggestions below! JERSEY GIVEAWAY Retweet and comment your...

I don’t even know where to begin

I don’t even know where to begin. Vaseline? Twitter can provide for the most random entertainment, and Thursday brought some more among three members of the San Francisco 49ers. Safety Jaquiski Tartt tweeted out a photo he is now using as his Twitter avatar. It appears to be a staged shoot at the 49ers facility, and we are getting a second angle on it. #NewProfilePic pic.twitter.com/VTVc6h49Dj— Jaquiski ‘Quaski’ Tartt (@Quaski29) May 31, 2018 Cool picture and all, but Kyle Juszczyk had an amusing reply, and then Richard Sherman took it to another level. I think he got it out...

Have a Jaquiski Tartt jersey? Mail it to him and he’ll autograph it and mail back

This is a pretty cool gesture from San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt. He announced on social media that if you have his jersey, you can mail to to him care of the 49ers, and he will sign it and ship back (he’ll cover return shipping). So, if you have a jersey you want autographed, mail it to: Jaquiski Tartt4949 Marie P. DeBartolo WaySanta Clara, CA 95054 Include your fully name and address, and he’ll hook you up! I don’t know if I’d wear an autographed jersey, but if agree on that, you can always get it framed. Faithful! I’m too hype on this season! Want me to sign...

49ers cornerback Sherman a de facto defensive coach during his rehab

Richard Sherman has a temp job: The All-Pro cornerback is an all-in coach. On Tuesday, during the 49ers’ first offseason practice open to the media, Sherman, 30, spent his time instructing, cajoling and exhorting, often in classic coach posture: Hunched over on the sideline with his hands on his knees. At one point, Sherman raced onto the field to celebrate after safety Jaquiski Tartt had blanket coverage on tight end Garrett Celek: “Good job, Tartt!” Sherman yelled after the pass was incomplete.
