Adding a third receiver for Dak Prescott and Cowboys offense should be high on the priority list

Adding a third receiver for Dak Prescott and Cowboys offense should be high on the priority list

Photo by Rich Graes fourthsle/Icon Sportswire via Who could the Cowboys target to complement the duo of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup? The Cowboys have a lot of talent: a franchise quarterback in Dak Prescott, a top-three running back across the league in Ezekiel Elliott, a receivers tandem consisting of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, a talented offensive line (now minus Travis Frederick), an edge rusher at the caliber of DeMarcus Lawrence, and players that have shown promise like Leighton Vander Esch, Jaylon Smith, and Xavier Woods. Cowboys rank No. 2 in number of Pro Bowlers drafted over last 10 years

Paul Moseley/Fort Worth Star-Telegram/Tribune News Service via How successful have the Cowboys been at drafting Pro Bowlers in the more recent past? Very. It was just four years ago that Dallas drastically changed their franchise by drafting Ezekiel Elliott, Jaylon Smith, and Dak Prescott all in one fell swoop. There were of course other players taken in 2016 by Dallas. One of them is a cornerback that was a free agent, but will be returning to the Cowboys. Anthony Brown is headed back to the Dallas Cowboys Taken in the sixth round back in...

Report: Cowboys restructured contracts of Ezekiel Elliott and La’el Collins to free up cap space

Photo by Chris Graythen/ Cowboys needed to free up space with a couple of big contracts coming. Monday was a busy day for the Dallas Cowboys as they tagged Dak Prescott, extended Blake Jarwin, and agreed to terms with Amari Cooper. Yea, that’s busy. It’s the second year in a row that the Cowboys had a lot of contracts to take care of. Last offseason the Cowboys took care of DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, and around the preseason both Ezekiel Elliott and La’el Collins. The final two names are popping up as it was reported by ESPN that the Cowboys dipped into the cap space pool...
