The Chargers DB who hit Jeremy Maclin has a history

Sunday was a very good day for the Kansas City Chiefs. They evened their record at 5-5. They dominated the San Diego Chargers. Most importantly, they did exactly what they had to do to make the playoffs. That said, there was one frustrating part of Sunday's game: Jahleel Addae. The Chargers safety had two serious hits on Chiefs players, one on De'Anthony Thomas and another, seen below, on Jeremy Maclin. Unfortunately this is only one game of many in which Addae's on-field aggression can also be termed reckless. Addae might be familiar to some of you who remember his hit on Knile Davis...

Jeremy Maclin took a huge hit and there was no flag

UPDATE: Maclin returned to the game and is apparently fine. Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin ran a slant and was lit up hard by a Chargers defender who seemed to go straight to the head of Maclin. The video seemed to show to me that the Chargers defender led with his helmet and hit Maclin in the helmet, which should be a penalty. There was no flag. The CBS announcers couldn't believe there was no flag on there for what looked like an illegal hit. Hate to see shots like this hit on Jeremy Maclin. https://t.co/OJLOcbWstY — Matt Conner (@MattConnerAP) November 22, 2015 Fox's Mike Pereira thought...

Chiefs' Jah Reid fined for imitating Von Miller; TJ Ward fined for punching Jeremy Maclin

Take note, kids. If you jump on someone after the play, it's an $8,681 fine. If you punch someone who has a helmet on, you're not that smart AND you'll be fined $10,000. That's the takeaway from the fines in the Chiefs-Broncos game last weekend. Chiefs OT Jah Reid gave Von Miller a taste of his own medicine and jumped on Miller after the play had ended. He was flagged for the penalty and now comes the news via Herbie Teope that he was fined, too. Miller appeared to do something very similar the week before when he jumped on a Colts player and seemed to ram his knee into their throat.So,...

Jaye Howard, Chiefs talking long-term contract

This will make some of you happy and some of you confused: DT Jaye Howard and the Kansas City Chiefs are talking about a long-term contract. This according to a report from the KC Star's Terez Paylor, who cites multiple sources. The Star report has quotes from Howard, who is in the final year of his contract, saying he wants to be in KC. It's not clear if this is just in the beginning stages or if any real progress has been made or if a deal will be done at all. But that they're talking means there's interest in both sides in getting this done. Howard has been a revelation at defensive...

T.J. Ward ejected after punching Jeremy Maclin in the helmet

Ugly, ugly, ugly. It's getting tough to defend Broncos defenders. A week after Aqib Talib poked Dwayne Allen in the eye and was rightfully suspended, T.J. Ward punched Jeremy Maclin in the helmet and will probably get rightfully suspended. The Broncos were losing by three scores when Ward tried to get away with his unsportsmanlike, dirty hit. The Broncos don't know how to take a loss like men.

Jeremy Maclin quotes Eric Berry in saying thank you to Mizzou's Gary Pinkel

Missouri football head coach Gary Pinkel is retiring due to heath reasons, which has caused a bit of a stir in the Chiefs locker room because there are a number of Mizzou players who are now Chiefs, including WR Jeremy Maclin. Pinkel has been in Columbia since 2001. It's a big story that he's leaving, especially with everything else going on this week. Maclin posted a picture of him and Pinkel with a caption quoting Eric Berry. Thank you! Thank you for being there on and off the field! As my teammate and brother EB says: "Fear Nothing, Attack Everything" Thank you! Thank you for...

Week Eight Sunday Review

Examining the results of yesterday's game The Lions are the worst team in the league The NFL continues to give our friends across the pond the worst it has to offer, as London fans got to see the Detroit Lions get absolutely curb-stomped by the Kansas City Chiefs. Even with star running back Jamaal Charles on Injured Reserve, the Chiefs had Charcandrick West, Alex Smith, Spencer Ware, and De'Anthony Thomas combine to run for 206 yards and four touchdowns. Alex Smith would also throw touchdown passes to tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. The Chiefs' defense terrorized...

Lions vs. Chiefs: Jeremy Maclin probable, Tamba Hali questionable

The Kansas City Chiefs announced before they left for London that G Ben Grubbs, DE Mike DeVito and LB Ramik Wilson will not play vs. the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The rest of the injury report is now in. The highlights include WR Jeremy Maclin who is listed as probable after missing last week's game with a concussion. The Chiefs were cautious with him and did not play him last week despite passing the concussion protocol. Questionable is LB Tamba Hali, who has a sore knee. Andy Reid indicated it was a normal day off for him and he should be fine. Let's hope that's the case as the Chiefs pass...

Jordan Hicks is the bright spot of the Eagles' 2015 NFL Draft class so far

The Eagles aren't getting a lot of production out of their rookies. The Philadelphia Eagles' 2015 NFL Draft class is the first group of rookies to be drafted under Chip Kelly that we know for sure he had final say on each pick. With that in mind, let's take a look at how these players have performed through the first seven games of the season. First Round WR Nelson Agholor Many thought Agholor would be ready to play right away and possibly even be an upgrade over departed wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. Some even projected Agholor to be Rookie of the Year. It's safe to say Agholor hasn't lived...
