Peter King mocks WR Laquon Treadwell to Chiefs, too

We wrote a piece earlier highlighting Cris Collinsworth's pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2016 NFL Draft: Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell. I hadn't seen his name mocked to the Chiefs often so I was intrigued. Now a little more intrigue as Peter King's mock draft also sends Treadwell to the Chiefs with King saying he would be a good complement to Jeremy Maclin. This would mean that the Chiefs are passing on West Virginia safety Karl Joseph in this mock draft. Hmm ... as noted before, I am interested. I haven't considered enough to have a strong opinion either way but one of the Chiefs...

The Chiefs won't be getting their draft picks back after Roger Goodell denies tampering appeal

Is anyone even remotely surprised that the Kansas City Chiefs appeal of the tampering punishment levied against them was denied? It's the least surprising Chiefs news in a while. To recap, the Chiefs were busted for tampering because they spoke with Jeremy Maclin directly before free agency started last year. The NFL fined the Chiefs, Andy Reid and John Dorsey while also docking the Chiefs a third round pick this year and a sixth round pick next year. It was far and away the largest tampering penalty in NFL history. NFL Commissioner was the one to hear the appeal and the league announced...

The Chiefs' appeal of anti-tampering violations was denied by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday, a decision that drew a strong rebuke from influential owner and team chairman Clark Hunt.

Jeremy Maclin calls Chiefs tampering charges a 'weird situation'

The Kansas City Chiefs were hit with tampering charges over a month ago based on their 2015 pursuit of WR Jeremy Maclin. For what I believe is the first time Maclin has been questioned about the tampering charges. The story goes that the Chiefs contacted Maclin personally before the free agency period started which is against the rules and as a result were hit with fines and the loss of draft picks, including this year's third rounder. "It's been a weird situation but I'm happy where I'm at," Maclin said from the Chiefs training camp on Monday. "I wouldn't change it for the world....

The Kansas City Chiefs select Corey Coleman with 28th pick in the POD Community Mock Draft. With the 28th pick in the Pride Of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select wide receiver Corey Coleman. Sje is the acting general manager for the Chiefs. Below is the rationale for the pick This is a pick for best player available; Corey Coleman was too good to pass up. That is not to say, however, that Kansas City couldn't use him. Jeremy Maclin was a boon to a much-maligned position group in 2015, but following Maclin on the depth chart still are Albert Wilson and Chris Conley,...

Chiefs a Super Bowl 51 favorite? Ask Maurice Jones-Drew

Here's to hoping Maurice Jones-Drew is a very, very accurate analyst. The former Jaguars running back now works for NFL Network and when asked for his Super Bowl 51 favorite, MJD named your KC Chiefs. He talked about Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin and the return of Jamaal Charles being a plus. "The biggest loss they had was Sean Smith going to the Raiders," MJD said. "I get it but you can draft a guy. Because the way this draft is setting up is defensively." Even MJD knows all the mock drafts are picking cornerback for the Chiefs. "You have Marcus Peters there. Houston is down...
