ESPN Green Bay reporter Rob Demovsky tweeted out from camp saying TE Brandon Bostick is running with the first-team in training camp after returning from an injury. Also of note is Demovsky mentioning "I'd say he delivered" when referring to Bostick's opportunities running in the primary offense. This sheds light on a muddied TE situation for the Packers as Andrew Quarless, Richard Rodgers and Colt Lyeria all have been hyped as potential starters in the high-flying offense this offseason. Jermichael Finley is also in the conversation and is welcome to return after suffering a devastating neck...

Packers comfortable with solid crop of tight ends

It’s too early after just one week of training camp to know if the Packers have a legitimate starting tight end. What we do know is that coach Mike McCarthy and his coaches aren’t fearful of football without Jermichael Finley.

Rodgers still holding out hope of Finley return

Photo/ Aaron Rodgers hasn’t given up hope that he and tight end Jermichael Finley will be teaming up again. GREEN BAY – While there may be more skeptics than believers in Jermichael Finley’s attempted comeback from last year’s career-threatening neck injury, there’s at least one guy who hasn’t given up hope: The guy who’d been throwing him the football since 2008 – Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback said he has been in contact with Finley, who remains an unrestricted free agent,“I have had a couple of conversations with him. He looks incredible,” Rodgers...

McCarthy continues to leave door open to Finley return

Photo/ Mike McCarthy continues to leave the door ajar for a Jermichael Finley return. GREEN BAY – Jermichael Finley may never play another snap for the Green Bay Packers – or in the NFL, for that matter – but you won’t hear Packers coach Mike McCarthy shutting the door on the veteran tight end’s possible return to the team.McCarthy remained consistent Friday morning in his message about Finley, who suffered a bruised spinal cord on Oct. 20, underwent single fusion spinal surgery in November and remains unsigned as he recovers: Never say never.“Jermichael Finley is a Green Bay...

Jermichael Finley Hints at Trip to Green Bay, but Purpose Unknown

The former Packers tight end is back in the news for a tweet implying a return to Green Bay but revealing no underlying details. Always the master of the cryptic tweet, free agent tight end Jermichael Finley is back at it again. We learned earlier this week that Finley was having additional tests performed on his injured neck. Now, he is dropping hints that something may be changing with that free agent status and that something is going on involving the Green Bay Packers: Let's Try This Again. #GreenBay — Jermichael Finley (@JermichaelF88) July 17, 2014 What does that mean? Well,...

Jermichael Finley may have deal with Green Bay Packers

Jermichael Finley may have deal with Green Bay Packers

There's no place like home, and that's held true for Jermichael Finley. The former Green Bay Packers tight end has been looking for the perfect situation to resume his NFL career after a devastating neck injury looked to have ended it. Teams have been leery about signing Finley, who had his C-3 and C-4 vertebrae fused a month after suffering a spinal contusion Oct. 20 on a hit by Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. He's visited with the New England PAtriots and Seattle Seahawks in addition to drawing interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers. It looks like Green Bay...

Some had considered Finley a possible answer to the Giants' tight end question. Follow @BigBlueView If you hadn't already iven up on the idea of tight end Jermichael Finley signing with the New York Giants, it look as if you should now. Finley indicated Thursday on Twitter that he is heading back to the Green Bay Packers. Let's Try This Again. #GreenBay — Jermichael Finley (@JermichaelF88) July 17, 2014 Several months ago Finley praised new Giants' offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, formerly of the Packers, and said "I guess I'd go running" if the Giants called. It appears they...

Jermichael Finley indicates his desire is to sign with the Green Bay Packers

Finley indicates on Twitter he's still looking to re-sign with the Packers, or even already has. He had a medical evaluation Wednesday, and could be asking the team to look at the results. The Steelers' neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Maroon, has cleared him, and the Steelers offered him a contract. Let's Try This Again. #GreenBay — Jermichael Finley (@JermichaelF88) July 17, 2014 While it's not the same as a formal announcement, it would appear free agent tight end and Steelers target Jermichael Finley could be re-signing with the Green Bay Packers, the only team he's played for in his...

New York Giants news, 7/16: Training camp, Jermichael Finley, more

New York Giants headlines for Wednesday, 7/16. Good morning, New York Giants fans! Les than a week now until training camp. Let's check the headlines. The Daily News lists five Giants with something to prove. Eli Manning tops the list and is an obvious choice. Not sure I agree with the entire list, however. Still holding out hope that tight end Jermichael Finley somehow winds up with the Giants? Well, Finley undergoes more tests on his surgically-repaired neck on Wednesday. Finley made it clear he isn't going to play for anything resembling a veteran minimum 'prove it' type contract: "As...

49ers have had discussions with Jermichael Finley, per report

Is Vernon Davis on his way out? No, no he's not. If you thought that, you're silly. A silly little person, you are. Tight end Jermichael Finley is still trying to find an NFL team for the 2014 season, despite his ability to collect on a $10 million insurance policy if he simply walks away from the game of football. That's awesome to see, because it means he has drive for the game (though it's worth noting he could always earn more than $10 million if he gets a big contract), but basically nobody knows if he'll be able to play again, or if a team will take a chance on him. That's because...
