Odell Beckham Jr. wins NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

Odell Beckham Jr. has won the AP NFL offensive rookie of the year award, the NFL announced. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a while seemed to have the offensive rookie of the year on their team. Mike Evans was putting up ridiculous numbers every week and was on pace to smash a bunch of team records. But then two things happened: Odell Beckham Jr. got  healthy, and Mike Evans' production slowed down. A lot. He ended the season with 68 catches for 1,051 yards and twelve touchdowns in 15 games -- very good numbers for any rookie, especially one being thrown to by Mike Glennon and Josh McCown...

The Buccaneers should hang on to Mike Glennon

2015 NFL mock draft: Projecting the entire first round

Our new 2015 NFL mock draft projects the entire first round and presents a scenario where the Detroit Lions go with an offensive lineman. Check it out. With the 2015 NFL Draft about three months away, I decided to do something I generally don't enjoy doing. And that was to create a first-round mock draft. Here goes nothing: Team Selection Position School Reason 1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marcus Mariota QB Oregon You need a quarterback to win in this league. Josh McCown and Mike Glennon aren't the type of QBs who are going to take over and win games for you. While Jameis Winston looks much...

Ravens hire Marc Trestman to be the team's new offensive coordinator

The Ravens wasted no time in filling the vacant offensive coordinator position. Well that was quick. Not two days after news broke that Gary Kubiak was headed to Denver, the Ravens have hired his replacement. Former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman will fill the vacant spot of Baltimore's offensive coordinator. Trestman was at the helm of the Bears for two seasons and experienced mixed results. He was close to a playoff berth in 2013, going 8-8 with Josh McCown filling in at quarterback. In 2014, however, his team hit the skids, doing 5-11 with a lousy defense and Jay Cutler being...

Josh McCown is a game manager. Just not a good one.

Remember when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Josh McCown and I was all "he can probably be an okay game manager in the right system and with the right supporting cast"? Oops! FiveThirtyEight tried to statistically categorize all of the quarterbacks in the NFL from 2006 onwards based on Total QBR, and they came to the conclusion that Josh McCown belongs in the group of "game managers." Of course, being in that group means your comparable playes are Jason Campbell, Matt Hassebleck, Alex Smith, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman and E.J. Manuel. Still pretty bad. I'm also not entirely sure as to why...
