Jay Cutler enters concussion protocol; Matt Moore into Buccaneers game

The Miami Dolphins have changed quarterbacks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the second half begins. Matt Moore is now in the game at quarterback as Jay Cutler has entered the league’s concussion protocol. Cutler was 6-for-12 for 83 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions in the first half of the game. Tampa Bay lead 20-7 at the half. This is the third appearance of the season for Moore, who replaced Cutler in Week 7 against the New York Jets when Cutler broke his ribs. Moore then started the team’s 40-0 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He will now look to spark a comeback...

NFL 2017 Fantasy Football: Week 10 Last minute start advice

NFL 2017 Fantasy Football: Week 10 Last minute start advice

A few good matchups for Week 10 For those who have struggled throughout the season, there is good news. There are plenty of match ups in Week 10 that are exploitable with less than marquee players. A little roster shuffle magic could be all it takes to get your team back in contention. Here we go: Quarterback Matthew Stafford Stafford and the Lions are hosting the Browns who are allowing 229 yards per game through the air and over 80 on the ground. This a good match up for Golden Tate, Marvin Jones and Matthew Stafford to air it out early at home. Josh McCown McCown and the Jets are going...

Buffalo Bills 7, New York Jets 10: Second half open thread

Buffalo Bills 7, New York Jets 10: Second half open thread

The Bills offense hasn’t found a groove against the Jets yet. Through two quarters at The Meadowlands, the Buffalo Bills are trailing the New York Jets, 7-10. The Bills offensive line has struggled to effectively block, and that’s kept them from establishing long scoring drives through much of the first half. The Jets scored a touchdown on their second drive of the game, the beneficiaries of Josh McCown’s mobility. McCown scrambled to convert a third down, then caught the defense in man coverage to run in a touchdown. Buffalo responded a few drives later with Taylor finding rookie...

One reason to feel confident, one reason to feel nervous about Falcons vs. Jets

One reason to feel confident, one reason to feel nervous about Falcons vs. Jets

The nerves are jangling already. It is a mark of just how sideways things have gone over the last three games of the season that people are legitimately nervous about losing to the New York Jets, the NFL’s most penalized team and a roster that was widely expected to be the NFL’s worst heading into the year. The Jets still haven’t been good, but they’ve had a surprisingly competent offense featuring a less-than-awful Josh McCown, a solid enough ground game, and a potent pass defense thanks to a stellar defensive line and quietly good secondary. That’s enough to beat the Falcons...

Matt Moore discusses Dolphins comeback win over Jets

The Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets yesterday 31-28, with a comeback in the second half after trailing 28-14. That comeback was led by backup quarterback Matt Moore, who was thrust into the game when a chest injury sidelined starter Jay Cutler. Moore was 13-for-21 for 188 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the game, finishing with a 102.9 passer rating. After the game, Moore met with the media to discuss the win. Here is what he said: (Was it fun having a great comeback like that?) – “It was a great win and when you can contribute and have a comeback like that, I...

For a recap of the game and immediate reactions, here is a complete rundown: First Half The Jets won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff.
