Rumor: Cowboys monitoring WRs Kelvin Benjamin, DeVante Parker

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly sniffing around about a potential deal for Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper. But apparently, he’s not the only receiver they’re keeping tabs on to address their need for a top receiver. The Cowboys are also monitoring the situations of the Bills’ Kelvin Benjamin and the Dolphins’ DeVante Parker, per […] The post Rumor: Cowboys monitoring WRs Kelvin Benjamin, DeVante Parker appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Expect Derek Anderson to look for Kelvin Benjamin often Sunday

Expect Derek Anderson to look for Kelvin Benjamin often Sunday

The Bills’ newest starting quarterback only has an established rapport with his former Carolina Panthers teammate The Buffalo Bills will start their third quarterback of the 2018 NFL season this week, with veteran Derek Anderson serving as the latest player to man the position. Nathan Peterman began the season as the starter, but he was benched during the third quarter of a dismal 47-3 shellacking by the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Josh Allen has been the starter since Week 2 and, despite his struggles, the job was his barring injury. Of course, we all know the story by now. Allen injured...

Josh Allen leaves Buffalo Bills - Houston Texans with arm injury

Josh Allen leaves Buffalo Bills - Houston Texans with arm injury

We’ll see if the rookie returns to the field soon. Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen left the field with 2:41 remaining in the third quarter. After taking successive hits while delivering a deep pass to rookie Kelvin Benjamin, looked to have a problem with his throwing arm. Allen played one more play but clutched his arm after missing a throw, and was replaced by second year passer Nathan Peterman. Third string quarterback Derek Anderson is inactive today. Allen’s being evaluated on the sidelines, and we’ll keep this updated with future updates about the injury.

Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin refuses Josh Allen’s offer to practice routes during pregame

Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin refuses Josh Allen’s offer to practice routes during pregame

During pregame warm ups, quarterbacks and wide receivers usually work on routes so they can develop more rapport before the game starts. Buffalo Bills rookie starting quarterback Josh Allen wanted to do that with wideout Kelvin Benjamin Sunday before the Bills took on the Houston Texans, but Benjamin refused. Not a good look for Kelvin […] The post Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin refuses Josh Allen’s offer to practice routes during pregame appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Penalty recap: Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers

Penalty recap: Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers

Were the Bills playing clean, or did the refs turn a blind eye to the field on Sunday? The Buffalo Bills got beat up in Wisconsin but managed to keep the penalties down—way down. The Green Bay Packers also landed a little below league average. Arguably a few more penalties should have been called. A holding call on Tre’Davious White stands out. Or the one on Jerry Hughes right after White’s hold. Or the no-call on hitting a defenseless Kelvin Benjamin in the head. But hey, who’s counting...right? There’s also the clock thing right before the end of the first half and the Josh...

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix should have been flagged for Kelvin Benjamin hit

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix should have been flagged for Kelvin Benjamin hit

These are the types of shots the NFL is looking to avoid. With six minutes remaining in the third quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin was leveled by safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix on a play where the safety came away with the football. With the game still in reach, a penalty here would have either given Buffalo the ball inside the Packers’ red zone or at the very least backed them up after the turnover and it should have been a penalty. You can see the play at NFL.com. They list it as a highlight, but it’s exactly the type of play...

Bills vs Packers: second half open thread

Bills vs Packers: second half open thread

The offense has been smothered. How long can the defense hold up? The Buffalo Bills had an offensive offense in the first half of their game against the Green Bay Packers, punting on every single possession on the way to a 16-0 deficit. Josh Allen, alternating between inaccurate throws and throwaways against smothering coverage, only completed 5-of-19 passes. The rushing offense, alternating between Chris Ivory and LeSean McCoy on a pitch count, hasn’t made a difference. At the end of the half, Allen finally connected with Kelvin Benjamin for a 34 yard reception, setting up a red zone...

Kelvin Benjamin vents about Bills’ lack of passing game

The Buffalo Bills are off to a bit of a slow start out of the gate to the 2018 season with much of their issues stemming from the lack consistent play offensively.
