Titans may be preparing for future without WR Kenny Britt

FFToolbox.com — In the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans added former Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright. Just a week ago, they drafted former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Justin Hunter. Although Hunter is still raw at his position, he's a legit athlete and the Nashville Tennesseean speculates that the Titans are ready to move on with or without Kenny Britt. David Climer, the author of the article, describes it succinctly: "[Hunter] has Kenny Britt's ability without the baggage." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully Britt skipped this morning's newspaper otherwi...

Hunter believes knee problems in past

Titans Insider | Tennessean — The Titans are all too familiar with the challenges a wide receiver faces in recovering from a torn ACL after watching Kenny Britt struggle through a subpar 2012 season. Wide receiver Justin Hunter, the Titans’ second-round draft pick, believes his issues are behind him after catching 73 passes for 1,083 yards during his junior year. [...]

NFL Draft results: Titans trade with 49ers to select Justin Hunter

Music City Miracles — The Titans pulled off a bit of a surprise move tonight when they moved up to select Justin Hunter. The Titans got the 34th overall pick and gave up the 40th pic, the 216th pick in the 7th round and next year's 3rd round pick. Three picks for one is a big price, but the Titans are obviously serious about getting their guys this year. Noles will have more on the pick coming up shortly, but let me just say that I love the fact that they have finally added some Kenny Britt insurance. This team has much bigger needs than wide receiver, but they desperately need a #1 receiver. Britt has ...

Titans QB Jake Locker, WR Kenny Britt feeling good physically

FFToolbox.comJake Locker to Kenny Britt is going to have to be a common connection this season if the Titans' offense wants to put points on the board consistently. Both players saw their 2012 season marred by injury, but they are healing up and should be fine for Week 1. According to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, Britt impressed his teammates during his first day of offseason workouts Monday. Britt had surgeries on both knees prior to last season and admitted he was never fully healthy. But he reportedly looked good running. Cornerback Jason McCourty said the 24-year-old wide receiver "looked like the norm...

Kenny Britt Evaluation: A Monster Lurking

Music City Miracles — (This is Part 2 of the evaluation of Kenny Britt. Part 1 can be viewed here.) In analyzing Britt's performance in 2012, I elected to look at three different games during different points of the season. Week 3 versus Detroit, Week 7 versus Buffalo, and Week 14 versus Indy. This more or less divided the season up into early, middle and end. The thought there being that we might be able to look for progression as the season went on. Detroit My takeaway from this game was less about Kenny being physically limited and more about him not looking football ready. He looked like a guy stil...

GM won't commit to Britt

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Appearing on PFT Live, Titans general manager Ruston Webster wouldn't commit to a long-term plan with receiver Kenny Britt. The troubled receiver avoided a 2012 charge when he was found not guilty of DUI earlier this week but has had his fair share of run-ins with the law. Webster made it clear Britt should be focused just on this upcoming season. "The goal is for him to play well for us this year," said Webster. "He is a year off the ACL, and he has been rehabbing, and working hard and the hope is he’ll be back to the old Kenny Britt. We’ll see where it goes from here. It has been a tough run...

Kenny Britt - Kenny Britt not guilty in DUI case

The Huddle — Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt was found not guilty in a driving under the influence case that stemmed from a 2012 arrest. Huddle Up: The league may still have a sit-down with Britt, who is all too familiar with the commissioner's office given his litany of off-field transgressions. But absent any sort of legal sanction Britt will likely dodge serious league repercussions as well.

The Teflon Titan: Kenny Britt Acquitted of DUI

Music City MiraclesKenny Britt stayed true to form today by capping an embarrassing encounter with the police by getting off scot-free in court. Today's ruling brought an end to the incident that occurred back in July of 2012, when Britt was busted for suspicion of DUI at the front gates of Fort Campbell while driving a female soldier back on base. I'm not hating on the guy or his lawyers for navigating the court system like a boss. Britt's knack for avoiding legal punishment is approaching John Gotti territory, but it's kept him on the field more than it did Pacman. No updates on the stabbing incident...
