Revenge Of The Birds — One part of the team that some consider to have downgraded is the defensive backfield. Three of the four 2012 starters (William Gay, Adrian Wilson, Kerry Rhodes) are no longer with the team. From the way that head coach Bruce Arians talks, he doesn't sound concerned, as the team brought back safety Rashad Johnson, and signed Yeremiah Bell, Jerraud Powers and Antoine Cason. While Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes are no longer with the team, one of the players that the team added to replace them is also known for his muscles. This time is it safety Yeremiah Bell, whose biceps are massive (check out the photo on Darren Urban's blog post on Bell). Of course, this is nothing new. Rhodes, an eight-year veteran and former fourth-round selection during the 2005 NFL draft, was recently released by the Arizona Cardinals who was scheduled to make $5.5 million in 2013. Arizona Republic — The Cardinals cleared about $27 million of salary cap space when they released seven players this off-season, and they used part of that space to sign 11 free agents so far. Four of those seven players ranked among the top 11 highest paid players on the Cardinals roster last year (based on average per year), including quarterback Kevin Kolb (2nd), safety Kerry Rhodes (6th), linebacker Stewart Bradley (9th) and safety Adrian Wilson (11th).
