Justin Tuck, Marcel Reece, Khalif Barnes all questionable on Raiders Injury Report

With it being Week 7 of the 2014 NFL season it should come to no surprise that both teams this week have a substantial amount of players listed on their injury reports. Just about every team around the league's reports look this crowded too. The Raiders have three starters that are questionable for this game in FB Marcel Reece, DE Justin Tuck, and RT Khalif Barnes. All three of those players were limited in practice on Friday and did not participate at all on Wednesday leaving their statuses for this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals very much in doubt. If Khalif Barnes is unable to suit...

Barnes out for Sunday/updated injury report

Right tackle Khalif Barnes will miss Sunday’s game with a quadriceps injury. He missed practice again on Friday and second-year player Menelik Watson will take his place against the Chargers. Watson was the starter at right tackle all preseason before he hit a “lull,” according to interim coach Tony Sparano. Plus, Barnes was losing his starting left guard spot to the rookie Gabe Jackson and the Raiders wanted the veteran on the field. Quarterback Derek Carr and linebacker Sio Moore are both listed as questionable with ankle injuries, but barring a setback at Saturday’s walkthrough,...

Khalif Barnes still out, Menelik Watson to start at right tackle for Raiders

Thursday Tony Sparano intimated Barnes' absence would signal he won't play Sunday. "Well there's concern right now that [Barnes] wasn't out there today, so we'll see where he is tomorrow and we'll continue to play it by ear here with Khalif right now, but he hasn't practiced for a couple days here. Obviously, that doesn't look great." Sparano said. Menelik...

Raiders to rehab several injuries over bye week

The week's games begin tonight for the rest of the NFL, while the Raiders players begin four days away from the facility and a week of rest before getting back to practice. It's their bye week. And as it often the case, it is a time to try and get healthy. Last week in London, the Raiders were already banged up. They were without several starters heading into the game including Nick Roach (concussion), Sio Moore (ankle), Rod Streater (foot), DJ Hayden (PUP), and Tyvon Branch (IR). During the game itself, they had a couple more starters go down - Khalif Barnes (quad), Derek Carr (ankle,...
