Kyle Arrington’s never afraid to man-up vs. the game’s best

FOXBORO — Kyle Arrington is used to challenging himself as a cornerback against the best receiver on the other team. Sometimes, as the case may be, he’ll do so against the one on his own team.As a defensive back at Hofstra University, one of Arrington’s teammates was wide receiver Marques Colston, a 2006 seventh-round draft pick of the New Orleans Saints who has so far amassed 8,585 yards receiving and 64 touchdowns.Naturally, Colston dominated practices in those days.

Kyle Arrington produces despite fewer snaps

FOXBORO — Kyle Arrington, now in his sixth season with the Patriots, has made his mark in the league as one of the more dependable cornerbacks when covering a slot receiver. But when called upon, he can make a play on the outside, too.Last Sunday’s game with the Oakland Raiders provided an example of how Arrington, despite a reduced role this season, has not let that diminish his production.
