Patriots' defensive snaps: Kyle Arrington from slot man to starter

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- A look at snaps played by New England Patriots defenders in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Colts: CORNERBACK Kyle Arrington -- 56 of 56 Darrelle Revis -- 45 of 56 Brandon Browner -- 39 of 56 Logan Ryan -- 26 of 56 Malcolm Butler -- 15 of 56 Quick-hit thoughts: Arrington is usually the team's No. 3 corner, as he played 40.0 percent of the defensive snaps during the season. But he drew the assignment of starter to guard Colts receiver T.

Arrington: T.Y. Hilton' a tremendous challenge'

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- When the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts faced off in November, Indianapolis’ top receiver T.Y. Hilton was held to 24 yards on just three receptions. Must have been the result of a trip to Revis Island, right? Not in this case, actually. Instead, Patriots coach Bill Belichick opted to have cornerback Kyle Arrington spend most the game tailing the speedy Hilton. Clearly the move paid off for the Patriots on that occasion.

Kyle Arrington on Gillette Stadium crowd: ‘The stadium was rocking’

FOXBORO — It was a special night Saturday at Gillette Stadium when the Patriots came back from two, 14-point deficits to beat the Ravens, 35-31 to advance to next Sunday’s AFC championship game. Kyle Arrington says atmosphere in stadium was among best he's experienced

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Cornerback Kyle Arrington has been with the New England Patriots since 2009, and he said the Gillette Stadium atmosphere in Saturday’s 35-31 victory over the Baltimore Ravens was one of the best he’s experienced. “I can think of two huge plays specifically, Devin [McCourty] made his interception and Duron [Harmon] made his as well at the end of the game, and the crowd throughout the stadium was rocking. We were looking at film today and the camera was shaking – you could barely see anything after the moment itself when it happened,” he said early Sunday...

Patriots Notebook: Given son day

FOXBORO — Like any cornerback who does what’s asked of him, Kyle Arrington flew under the radar Sunday during the Patriots’ regular-season finale against the Bills.Like any great family man, he had a perfect reason. Arrington was active for the game, but did not play. Because players who remained on the sideline were anonymously bundled in giant, full-length jackets, it was initially assumed Arrington was among them, and was resting his hamstring for the second consecutive game.Nope, Arrington’s day was much more eventful than that.

Alan Branch excited to face former team

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Alan Branch was talking to two reporters earlier this week about longevity in the NFL as a burly defensive tackle, saying, "For a big fella, I feel like it's different, for sure. Every play you're actually hitting somebody. There is never a play you're not being touched." At that point, cornerback Kyle Arrington just happened to be walking by and he playfully interjected himself into the discussion. Arrington: What are you trying to say?
