Bears Injury Update: Nick Kwiatkoski and Tom Compton both leave the game

Last week the Chicago Bears had their starting inside linebacker, Jerrell Freeman, suffer an injury to his pec in the game against the Atlanta Falcons. He managed to finish the game, but he ended up going on injured reserve this week. His replacement, Nick Kwiatkoski, has left the game today with a pec injury of his own, and the Bears call his return questionable. Offensive guard Tom Compton, who was filling in for Kyle Long, had his leg rolled up on and was replaced by inserting Hroniss Grasu at center, with starting center Cody Whitehair sliding over to guard. Kyle Long remains in Chicago, will not play on Sunday

Yesterday the Chicago Bears issued their injury report in advance of Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers, and included among the eight questionable Bears was offensive guard Kyle Long. Kyle Long (ankle) not expected to play for Bears in Week 1

Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. What It Means: Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune says he would be "surprised" if Long plays in Sunday's opener. Cody Whitehair will move over to left guard and Hroniss Grasu will start at center. Jordan Howard remains a low-end RB1, but this is a minor downgrade for his fantasy outlook. numberFire's models see Howard as the 7th-best fantasy option at running back in Week 1. We expect him to amass 14.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $7,500 with 78.6 rushing yards,...
