While the world sleeps, I believe Kyle Williams can have big role in 2013

Niners Nation — Since the news of Michael Crabtree's torn Achilles, the media has been firing off tweets, posts and videos about just who could replace the production that Crabtree would have brought to the 49ers in 2013. Most are quick to point out A.J. Jenkins due to his quiet rookie season during which he mostly rode the pine. A lot was already expected of him simply in order to show that he wasn't a bust of a draft pick. Others take the easy route and point to Vernon Davis. Sure, he's athletic, a mismatch, and has been a huge part of the offense in the past ... but oftentimes Crabtree had good sta...

More: Quinton Patton LaMichael James Patrick Willis Parys Haralson NaVorro Bowman Joe Looney Jewel Hampton Anquan Boldin Yesterday, I put together a 90-in-90 breakdown of new 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin. It turned out timely, given the news of Michael Crabtree's Achilles tear. Given how much more important the wide receiver position battle is in light of the injury, I figured I'd conti...

But he expects to be fully ready for Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season. Williams indicated at the Super Bowl that he expected to be ready for the start of training camp. He felt he could do more during OTAs and minicamp, but the doctors wanted t...

49ers injury updates: Circling back on Kendall Hunter, Mario Manningham, Kyle Williams and more

Niners Nation — In recent weeks, I've been hit up on Twitter numerous times for updates on various 49ers injuries. We've provided updates as news developed, but I figured now was a good time to put together a comprehensive update on where we stand. There was some new information on Kendall Hunter this weekend, but otherwise this is just a compilation so everybody is on the same page. Well, everybody that reads this at least. Kendall Hunter The 49ers running back tore his Achilles in the 49ers Week 12 win over the New Orleans Saints. We had not heard much on the extent of the injury or his rehab progre...

Kyle Williams returns to running

Niners Nation — 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams has been hard at work rehabbing his left knee since he tore his ACL back on November 25. Golden Nuggets: Ted Ginn gone; Kyle Williams and LaMichael James to take over

Niners Nation — Good morning folks. I've been away for a few days but back for the Nuggets today. I haven't yet weighed in on the rule changes and personally, I really hate the running back rule. I honestly don't understand the rule, given that I firmly believe the rule is not safer in the great scheme of things. We'll just have to deal with it because it's what Roger Goodell wants. Unfortunately, it's not a matter of "he's making it a wussy league!" and more a matter of changing something that I think is totally misguided to change. But that's something everybody has already talked about. Anyway, le...
