Missed practice on Sunday, but returned on Monday LeSean McCoy missed practice on Sunday with what he called "a small version of turf toe." He returned to training camp at the NovaCare Complex on Monday and completed practice. "[Sunday] it was really, really hurting pretty bad," McCoy said. "It felt a little better [Monday], so I went for it." McCoy said he injured the big toe on his left foot during a joint practice against the Patriots last week in New England. He told the media he had an MRI and X-rays on the toe and that he's "fine." After practice on Sunday, McCoy appeared...

Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy escape without major injury in Eagles win over Steelers

The Eagles can take a sigh of relief after some injury scares on Thursday night in their preseason game against the Steelers. Through nearly 20 training camp practices and three preseason games, the Philadelphia Eagles have still not had a single player suffer a season-ending injury. It almost looked like that streak of fortune would change for the worse during the Eagles' 31-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thusday night. Both star running back LeSean McCoy and starting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin suffered brief injury scares. McCoy wasn't noticeably injured like Maclin appeared to...

For a moment, the Eagles contemplated another season without Maclin

A little more than 10 minutes remained in the first half of the Eagles' first preseason game of the summer that included both of coach Chip Kelly's starting wide receivers. All was well. The offense was firing on all cylinders against the Pittsburgh Steelers, even after LeSean McCoy left with a benign thumb ailment.

Eagles carving up Steelers defense; LeSean McCoy leaves with injury

The Cincinnati Bengals' biggest competition for the AFC North crown this year may very well be the Pittsburgh Steelers. That certainly won't be the case though if they keep getting carved up through the air like they did Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. By the 12:32 mark in the 2nd quarter, the Eagles were leading 14-0, mainly because Nick Foles is 11/17 passing for 122 yards and a score. The man he threw that touchdown to was All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy, who exited the game after that score. McCoy left the club's sideline in the first quarter of Thursday's exhibition...

Chip Kelly jokes that LeSean McCoy will never play again

While McCoy originally declined to speak with reporters after not practicing on Sunday, the team's starting running back answered questions after he returned to practice on Monday.
