Chris Polk - Chris Polk sheds weight

The Huddle — Philadelphia Eagles RB Chris Polk lost 15 pounds to 215 pounds in the offseason and wants to be a factor in the running game. Huddle Up: Polk is stuck behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown on the Philly backfield depth chart, but Chip Kelly is bound to run a lot of bodies in and out of his fast-paced lineup and it looks like Polk is conditioning himself to be ready for an opportunity. He won't land on many redraft rosters, but he's worth a stash in larger dynasty leagues--especially if you already own McCoy or Brown and are looking for insurance.

DeSean Jackson fires long-time agent Drew Rosenhaus

Bleeding Green Nation — Drew Rosenhaus has had a tough time holding on to Eagles skill position players. He was fired twice by LeSean McCoy in the lead up to his new deal and now he's gotten the same treatment from DeSean Jackson. According to NFLN's Albert Breer, the Eagles WR has parted ways with his long time agent. Rosenhaus negotiated the 5 year, $51 million deal Jackson signed with the Eagles prior to last season. At the time, the deal was seen to be rather team friendly and only looks moreso after the deal Mike Wallace signed this offseason. Tim McManus pointed out earlier this offseason that Jackson h...

I'm a fan of certain players. I might not like the team, but I'm a fan of certain players. I actually think Romo and Matt make it (over Flacco). Weighted balls could the key to Bryce Brown's fumbling problem

Bleeding Green NationBryce Brown ran like a superstar in place of LeSean McCoy last season, but he didn't protect the ball like one. In his first 2 starts, he ran for 347 yards and 4 TDs... but lost 3 fumbles. If he could fix the fumbling problem, the Eagles could legitimately boast one of the top couple backfields in the NFL. For that problem, Chip Kelly has a solution. For Michael Vick it was a new grip , but for Brown it's a weighted ball. "I think they're eight pounds," Brown said. "We do a lot of work with that. Run a whole lot. A lot. Cutting. Things like that. "When you go back and watch film, a lot...

Bleeding Green Nation — The NFL Top 100 is in its third year, and once again, the list has fans and the media shaking their heads. Eagles running back, LeSean McCoy, was a part of the countdown show tonight and he was ranked 45th overall on the list. While being ranked 45th out of 1,600 players is impressive, McCoy is arguably a Top 3 player at his position. McCoy had nearly 1,000 total yards last season, despite missing four games. Coming off an All-Pro season, injuries and missed games made Shady drop nearly spots from last season's countdown. The team's lack of success also played a role. The failures of t...

LeSean McCoy, Arian Foster are easily the top running backs from the 2009 draft class

Bleeding Green Nation — Since being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2009 NFL Draft, LeSean McCoy has been one of the best players on the Eagles roster. His ability to make a man miss is legendary and his nose for the endzone is well-documented. He is coming off an injury-plagued 2012, where he missed four games and finished with his lowest totals since his rookie season, when he was the back-up to Brian Westbrook. As McCoy enters 2013, he is poised for a bounce-back year and will certainly benefit from the arrival of Chip Kelly and a healthy offensive line. However, while it is fun to look ahead, McCoy's prod...

Really the only negative thing that could possibly come out of an OTA would be an injury... and it seems the Eagles may have avoided what would have been a very costly one. Jeff McLane caught up with Shady during lunch and said everything looked fine as well. Just saw LeSean McCoy. Was eating. Looked fine.
