Chris Ivory Broke 8th Most Tackles Among NFL Backs in 2014

Football Outsiders this week came out with broken tackle numbers on offense. Among the notable things on offense was Chris Ivory rating 8th among NFL backs with 33 broken tackles. The seven in front of him are not exactly slouches. They were Marshawn Lynch, Le'Veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, Eddie Lacy, C.J. Anderson, Arian Foster, and LeSean McCoy. Also worth noting is FO has Ivory with only 216 touches. Anderson only had 213, but nobody from the other six had less than 298. This probably has something to do with the struggle it is for Ivory to contribute in the passing game both as a receiver...

DeSean Jackson says he and LeSean McCoy have moved on to winning teams

Well, about that... LeSean McCoy isn't the only former Eagles player talking about his old team this week. DeSean Jackson recently made an appearance on ESPN to promote his new BET reality show. Jackson was asked to touch on McCoy's comments about Chip Kelly getting rid of "good black players" on the Eagles. Jackson had a curious response. As transcribed by Crossing Broad, bold emphasis is mine: "I’m mean, honestly, I’m further along than that. It’s been two years since I’ve been removed from the Philadelphia Eagles. I’m just excited where I’m at. I don’t really want to...

For a story that is likely much of nothing, Kelly has to be frustrated with how often it is coming up, and with the fact that it just won't seem to die.

What to make of McCoy's latest salvo? Eagles have image problem

If I were DeMeco Ryans or Jason Peters or Bennie Logan right about now, I'd be really bummed out to hear LeSean McCoy say the Eagles got rid of all the good black players.

Current and former Eagles players don't think Chip Kelly is racist

The comments made by former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy about Chip Kelly getting rid of Philadelphia's "good black players" created a quite a stir on Wednesday morning. So much so that the Buffalo Bills announced McCoy would be made unavailable for media questioning. But while McCoy might not be talking (at least for now), a few of his former teammates are speaking their mind. To no surprise, they don't agree with what McCoy had to say. Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins shared his thoughts about McCoy's comments via NJ.com. ""If that's what he feels, he's definitely entitled to feel...

LeSean McCoy: Chip Kelly "got rid of (the good black players) the fastest"

Every time Bills running back LeSean McCoy is asked about his former head coach, Chip Kelly, his criticism runs a little deeper. He played the race card in an interview with ESPN's Mike Rodak, published today. Since being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this offseason, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has not been shy in leveling criticism at his former head coach, Chip Kelly. But in an interview with ESPN's Mike Rodak, which published on Wednesday, McCoy took his criticism to an entirely new level. McCoy had previously stated that Kelly "panicked" in attempting to replace...

LeSean McCoy: Chip Kelly got rid of all the good black players on the Eagles

LeSean McCoy hasn't had many nice things to say about his former head coach this offseason. First he said Chip Kelly panicked to replace him. Then he said he felt part of the reason Kelly traded him was because the Eagles coach "doesn't like stars." Now, there's a new McCoy quote via a recent interview with ESPN. (Bold emphasis is mine.) "Q: You told The Philadelphia Inquirer in April that Chip doesn't "like or respect stars." What was the problem with you and Chip, and how did that relationship end? A: The relationship was never really great. I feel like I always respected him as a...
