Michael Crabtree doesn't want to talk about Marcus Peters, the 65th best player in the NFL

The least surprising news of the day is that Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters is on the NFL's top 100 players list. He came in at No. 65. NFL Films put together an awesome series of clips of Peters interceptions last season, along with their music that makes it so much better. Go watch it. A few reactions... First, is there a budding rivalry between Peters and Michael Crabtree? "I don't really wanna talk about Marcus Peters," Crabtree said on NFL Network when asked about Peters. Then they showed Peters on the sidelines in what looked like a game against Crabtree and the Raiders last...

This explains why Shilique Calhoun rookie deal is last remaining for Raiders

Just one rookie contract remains for the Raiders -- third round pick Shilique Calhoun. There's a good reason why it's not done yet. There was a time when rookie contracts took quite some time to get done. Back when agents could negotiate whatever they felt their client was worth and contracts didn't get done until the ones at the top were signed. It was cause for a great many holdouts such as Raiders former number one overall pick JaMarcus Russell's holdout lasted into his rookie season in 2008 along with current Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree who was selected by the 49ers at 10th...

NFL Network has begun their countdown of the Top 100 players, which is voted on by some unknown number of players, and has never really made a ton of sense. That being said, it always provides for some interesting discussion fodder. The show released the first ten on the list Wednesday evening. The San Francisco 49ers are not represented, but we did get a couple ex-49ers mentioned. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin came in at No. 93. In the accompanying video, Michael Crabtree was one of the players...

Michael Crabtree: Who would've thought Jeremy Maclin would be a good fit with Alex Smith?

When Alex Smith came to the Kansas City Chiefs we pointed out Michael Crabtree's stats as evidence that Smith doesn't throw to receivers enough. That's why we were somewhat surprised to see the Chiefs drop $55 million on Jeremy Maclin. One year later, it's clear that Maclin deal was money well spent after the Chiefs WR had a really good season with Alex Smith: 87 receptions, 1,088 yards, eight touchdowns. For those numbers, Maclin was voted the 93rd best player on NFL Network's top 100 players countdown which was voted on by players. It was also funny hearing this comment from Crabtree in...
