Tyler Eifert undergoing ankle surgery, expected to undergo 3 month recovery

Welp. Another year, another unfortunate injury for Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert. This time, it involves the Pro Bowl tight end getting a surgical procedure on his ankle, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The surgery is reportedly on the ankle that Eifert injured in the 2016 Pro Bowl, which was thought to be minor at the time, yet apparently was more serious than we all thought. Will Russell Bodine have breakout season in year three?

One of the weakest links among the Bengals' roster, center Russell Bodine can still improve with another year under Paul Alexander and the rest of the coaching staff. He has a lot to improve, but he's still young and there is hope. The Bengals have had a loaded roster for years now but one of the few positions where media and fans agree they're weak is center. Russell Bodine, entering his third year in the NFL, has been a below average starter at best for Cincinnati since he was handed the job by default after the team traded up in the fourth round of the 2014 Draft to select him. As he is...
