Unlikely to play this week Giants running back Rashad Jennings' sprained ankle had been making progress. So much so that he wasn't on the team's injury report at any point last week. He didn't practice on Wednesday and appears unlikely to play this week. (NJ.com) FF Today's Take: Look for Andre Williams to get the start this week. Williams is averaging 3.3 yards per carry and has a tough matchup against the Rams defense that has given the up the 7th-fewest fantasy points to running backs. He would be a volume-based, low-end RB2 in Week 16.

Status for final two games uncertain Giants running back Rashad Jennings injury-plagued season took another unfortunate turn, as he was forced to exit the game after just one carry after re-aggravating his ankle injury. (NJ.com) FF Today's Take: Jennings got the start but didn't last long. Andre Williams finished the game with 18 carries but only 44 yards. We'll see if the Giants decide to end the season for Jennings this week or try and get him active for the last two games.

Rashad Jennings sits out Giants practice, Jameel McClain returns

Rashad Jennings' availability for Sunday's game in St. Louis looks questionable at best.

Giants' Rashad Jennings (ankle) unlikely to play Sunday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rashad Jennings was not at full strength Sunday, but he'd convinced the New York Giants he was healthy enough to help them win the game against Washington. That changed on the game's first play from scrimmage, when Jennings carried the ball for three yards but also re-injured his sprained right ankle. "First dang play," Jennings said. "Obviously, that's frustrating, as you can imagine." Well, Jennings doesn't think his season is over yet.

Rashad Jennings on Giants injury report, Eli Manning is not

Jennings' ankle is again something the Giants will have to monitor here in the final two weeks of the season.

Giants could be 'back to Square 1' with Rashad Jennings injury

New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings re-injured his sprained right ankle on the first play of Sunday's victory against Washington and did not return. "He did have a reoccurrence of the ankle and was not able to go back in the game," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday. "Whether or not we are all the way back to Square 1, I don't know yet. I don't have anything on that today yet." Jennings sprained his ankle in the Week 13 loss in Jacksonville and played a minimal role in the following week's victory in Tennessee.

Giants RB Rashad Jennings re-injures ankle after 1 play

Fantasy owners knew Giants running back Rashad Jennings would be limited by his injured ankle last week in Tennessee. Surely enough, he carried the ball only three times in that game. But there weren't any worries heading into Sunday's game versus Washington -- other than a less-than-favorable matchup. Jennings had even been removed from the Giants' injury report. Jennings got the start versus the Redskins, and that's when his day ended. Jennings took a carry for 3 yards on the first play of the game. He apparently re-injured that ankle on the play and didn't see the field again. Andre...

Giants running back Rashad Jennings re-injures his ankle vs. Washington Redskins

Rashad Jennings left the game after only one carry after aggravating a previous injury.

It appears Rashad Jennings injured his ankle again

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rashad Jennings was the New York Giants' starting running back Sunday, but that's quite literally all he did. After carrying the ball for three yards on the first play from scrimmage, Jennings left the game and did not return. The Giants beat Washington, 24-13. Giants coach Tom Coughlin, asked whether Jennings re-injured his sprained right ankle on that play, said, "Yeah, right away, he did." Jennings wasn't around after the game to ask, which lends credence to the idea he did indeed re-injure the ankle and that it could be a problem that lingers into the season's...
