Calculating Reggie Wayne's Consistency

Over the years, Reggie Wayne has been one of the best receivers in the NFL with his consistency being second to none. Where does he stack up against other similar veterans and is he the most consistent receiver in the NFL? When it's all said and done, Reggie Wayne will go down as one of the greatest receivers of this generation. Wayne has a Super Bowl ring and has the honor of working with Peyton Manning for most of his career. What makes Wayne great is his consistency through the years. If you look at Reggie Wayne's yardage stats over the years, you'll see eerily similar numbers almost...

Colts were Nervous when Reggie Wayne went down Last Week

In last Sunday night's game, wide receiver Reggie Wayne went down awkwardly and immediately fans were concerned about his surgically repaired knee. The Colts and Reggie were too, but thankfully he's fine. File this one away under the "obvious" category, but the Colts were concerned when Reggie Wayne went down last week. It came in the game against the Broncos, the first extended action for Reggie Wayne since tearing his ACL a year ago.  Reggie caught a screen pass and then fell awkwardly to the ground, immediately causing fans to worry about his surgically repaired knee.  Fans weren't...

Colts Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne Impresses in Return

Colts Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne Impresses in Return

Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne impressed in his first "real" game back from a torn ACL a year ago. It took just one play until we knew that Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne was back.  On the first offensive snap of the game for either team, Andrew Luck dropped back to pass and hit Reggie Wayne for a gain of 22-yards. From then on, he looked like the same ol' Reggie. A year ago against the Broncos, Wayne tore his ACL and it forced him to miss the remainder of the season.  He worked hard in the offseason to get back and he returned to start training camp.  He looked great in camp, but we...

Colts WR Reggie Wayne Won't be on a Pitch Count this Sunday

Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne, coming off of a torn ACL, won't be on a pitch count in his first regular season game back. "I'm full throttle," Reggie said. It was last year against the Denver Broncos that Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne went down with a torn ACL.  It's fitting, then, that his first full game back will be against the Denver Broncos to open up the 2014 season. Reggie worked incredibly hard at the end of last season and then all offseason to get back to where he is now, and there was never any doubt in his mind or in the mind of anyone associated with the Colts that he...

Behind Enemy Lines: Bengals vs Colts

Behind Enemy Lines: Bengals vs Colts

In the NFL, the fourth preseason game may have little significance for anything other than the bottom of the roster. But the Colts and Bengals should play significant roles in the AFC in 2014. To talk Colts, we sat down with Josh Wilson, Editor of Stamped Blue. Q: Reggie Wayne played for the first time since his knee injury. How has he looked in camp? A: Like Reggie Wayne.  And that's not an easy way out, that's truly the most encouraging thing I can say about him.  His knee looks great and he has been running and cutting with no problems. You wouldn't even be able to tell he tore his...

Welcome Back Reggie Wayne!

Reggie Wayne returned to the field Saturday night versus the Saints, the first time in 307 days that he played in a game for the Colts. His teammates and Colts fans were obviously glad to have him back. For the first time in 307 days, Reggie Wayne took the field at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday night, greeted by a roar of cheers from the home crowd. The Colts announced their offensive starters, and number 87 went last.  As they were getting ready to announce Reggie Wayne, radio announcer Bob Lamey said, "stand by, the roof is about to be blown off."  And surely enough, as the longtime...
