Wayne quickly strolled through the locker room while trying to get to a meeting a few minutes early when he stopped for a brief moment to break down his first practice.

Reggie Wayne on signing with Patriots: "I want to win, point blank"

Former Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is suiting up with the New England Patriots now, which is a very weird sight for Colts fans. The reason he's there? "I want to win, point blank," he said. On Tuesday, as the longest-tenured current Colt returned to the practice field in Indianapolis, the Colt who has played in the most games with the franchise in history did as well.  Only unlike Robert Mathis, Reggie Wayne wasn't at the Colts' West 56th Street complex in Indy.  Instead, he was suiting up for his first practice with the New England Patriots, the Colts' biggest rivals. Reggie...

Colts players, coaches happy for Reggie Wayne and his new opportunity with Patriots

While it will be weird to see Reggie Wayne in a Patriots uniform, a number of Colts are happy that he's getting another opportunity. Earlier today, former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots.  The Colts opted not to re-sign him earlier this offseason, but Wayne wanted to play one more year for a contender. (h/t to WEEI's Chris Price for the idea) So the New England Patriots have signed 36-year-old Reggie Wayne, turning 37 on November 17th. How many wide receivers can say they've changed teams after they turned 36? How many have had success? Well, funny you should ask that specific question, because I have the answer. Fourteen receivers, with at least one reception at the age of 36, have changed teams and recorded another reception at an older age. Six are in the Hall of Fame, with a seventh...

Wayne was in New England yesterday to take a physical, and the move makes sense for both sides.  Bill Belichick is a big fan of Wayne, and back in 2012 the Patriots attempted to sign the receiver away from the Colts.  The Patriots could use a veteran possession receiver like Wayne, and...
