Thoughts On The Chargers Win Against The Seahawks

Thoughts On The Chargers Win Against The Seahawks

My thoughts and opinions on the second preseason matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. On Saturday night we got our first look at the 2018 Chargers on their home turf against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Fans also got to watch Philip Rivers and the rest of the starting offense for the first time this preseason as Rivers, Keenan Allen, and others played just over one quarter of action before handing the game over to Geno Smith and the backups. Once again, this game was much easier to watch than a year ago when it seemed like whenever Rivers stepped off the field, the offense...

Seahawks vs. Chargers: What we learned in preseason game 2

In preseason game 2, the Seahawks offense struggled with consistency. There are a lot of concerns heading into 2018. Here are three things we learned from Saturday. To be honest, I am not sure we learned a lot of good things about the Seahawks in their second preseason game of 2018. Against the Los Angeles […] Seahawks vs. Chargers: What we learned in preseason game 2 - 12th Man Rising - 12th Man Rising - A Seattle Seahawks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

Chargers-Seahawks final score: Los Angeles Chargers defeat the Seattle Seahawks 24-14

Chargers-Seahawks final score: Los Angeles Chargers defeat the Seattle Seahawks 24-14

The Los Angeles Chargers featured some of their actual key starters this evening against the Seattle Seahawks in Carson, CA, and the results were definitely positive. Philip Rivers saw his first action of the preseason and completed 6 of 7 passes for 62 yards during the 1st quarter of play while feature back Melvin Gordon rushed for 35 yards and a score on 10 attempts. The defense saw a bit of a rough start as they allowed a 60-yard opening drive that was kicked off by a 29-yard strike from Russell Wilson to former Arizona Cardinal Jaron Brown, though they were forced to settle for a field...

Wilson plays entire first half of Seahawks’ 24-14 preseason loss

Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers looked almost ready for the regular season from their first series. Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks probably feel like they've got more work to do.

Winners and Losers from the Seahawks’ loss to Chargers

Winners and Losers from the Seahawks’ loss to Chargers

The Seattle Seahawks are 0-2 in preseason play for 2018, having lost 24-14 to the Los Angeles Chargers. This is obviously upsetting, disturbing, and makes you wonder if Seattle should tank meaningless. That doesn’t mean we can’t evaluate individual performances from starters, rookies, and roster hopefuls Here’s a quick rundown of my winners and losers from Saturday night in Southern California. Winners Russell Wilson I didn’t really want to see Russ out there for a full half, but obviously Pete Carroll did, and Wilson finished 13/21 for 193 yards, with 150 of those coming on his...

Chargers 24 Seahawks 14: Seattle drops second preseason game

Chargers 24 Seahawks 14: Seattle drops second preseason game

The Seattle Seahawks dropped to 0-2 in the 2018 NFL preseason, blowing early opportunities and losing to the Los Angeles Chargers 24-14 in Carson, California. Russell Wilson looked sharp with his deep ball, throwing for almost 200 yards in the 1st half, while Chris Carson had some exciting moments, but had an unfortunate fumble at the goal line. Seattle’s first-team defense gave up a touchdown and nothing more, and the special teams was clearly headlined by the punting excellency of Michael Dickson. Seattle got off to a brilliant start, as Russell Wilson found a wide open Jaron Brown off...

David Moore (and Russell Wilson) good, but more bad for Seahawks as Chargers deliver second exhibition defeat

David Moore (and Russell Wilson) good, but more bad for Seahawks as Chargers deliver second exhibition defeat

It was a game in which it felt like for every good thing that happened there was also something bad in what ultimately turned into a 24-14 defeat.

These three Seahawks need to put on a show vs the Chargers

With just three weeks left before the games count, several Seahawks need to claim their roster spots. These three can take some big steps tonight. Several of the best Seahawks have been slowed by injuries this preseason. Despite this, their place on the 53 man roster, or even as a starter, are in no jeopardy. Seahawks vs. Chargers: How to watch, listen and socialize

The Seahawks take on the Chargers on Saturday in Seattle’s second preseason game of 2018. Here’s what to look for and how to watch. The Seahawks might throw the ball tonight, but who Russell Wilson throws to is anyone’s guess. Receivers Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett and Amara Darboh are all out. How to watch Seahawks-Chargers 2018 NFL preseason game

How to watch Seahawks-Chargers 2018 NFL preseason game

The 2018 Seattle Seahawks preseason continues tonight (Saturday, August 18th) down in Southern California, as the Seahawks take on the Los Angeles Chargers at the StubHub Center. Neither team came away victorious in their respective opener last week, but it’s preseason, so it’s not like we’re supposed to care. The second preseason game should see an increase in playing time for available starters, and in some cases preseason debuts. Expect Russell Wilson to play no longer than the entire first-half, whereas Phillip Rivers may only get a couple of series after not appearing in LA’s...

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson believes Seattle’s offensive line has improved

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson believes Seattle’s offensive line has improved

Russell Wilson took a lot of beating in the pocket last season. Behind a seemingly flimsy Seattle Seahawks offensive line in 2017, Wilson got sacked 43 times – fourth most in the league.  This time around, though, Wilson has supreme confidence in his protection unit, as he’s been left impressed by the job being done […] The post Seahawks QB Russell Wilson believes Seattle’s offensive line has improved appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Seahawks’ Brandon Marshall-Russell Wilson connection is ‘developing’ in Seattle

It goes without saying that the Seattle Seahawks underwent a major overhaul of their roster this offseason. Among the notable additions they made was that of wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall was seen by many as a bit of a longshot to stick around in Seattle. However, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, head coach Pete Carroll is […] The post Seahawks’ Brandon Marshall-Russell Wilson connection is ‘developing’ in Seattle appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Explaining the Seattle Seahawks fall from greatness

The Seattle Seahawks went from back-to-back Super Bowls to a 9-7 non-playoff team in 2017. What the heck happened? Let’s flash back to the Seahawks of 2012. The Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Bruce Irvin, Jeremy Lane and JR Sweezy. Plus, Seattle acquired Marshawn Lynch the previous year for a 2012 5th-round pick. Bleacher Report […] Explaining the Seattle Seahawks fall from greatness - 12th Man Rising - 12th Man Rising - A Seattle Seahawks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.
