Joe Haden addresses Sean Davis moving to Free Safety, man coverage and the Jaguars playoff loss

The Steelers cornerback took the time to talk with media during the first phase of offseason workouts. Throughout the NFL’s offseason, voluntary, workouts, there isn’t much news. Players come into the team facility, can workout and meet with position coaches, and that is about it. Every now and then, the team will throw the media a proverbial bone and allow them to speak with a player during these workouts. Who was the lucky recipient of such an honor? Cornerback Joe Haden. Haden spoke with the media bout a number of things, one of them being how he feels under new defensive backs...

Steelers secondary continues overhaul of jersey numbers

The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary will look a lot different next year — literally. When Joe Haden and Sean Davis changed their jersey number about a month ago, you could understand why. After all, Haden wasn’t given his No. 23 due to Mike Mitchell having it, and the No. 21 Davis wanted out of college was occupied by Robert Golden and then Haden. With Golden and Mitchell being released it vacated their individual numbers. So, it made sense, to an extent. Now, it seems to be getting a little ridiculous... Sean Davis joins Joe Haden with a new number for the 2018 season

The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary will have a new look next year, literally. Make sure you have a roster handy for the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers 2018 preseason. No, not because there are so many no-name players on an NFL 90-man roster, but because almost half of the Steelers’ secondary has changed their numbers heading into the new league year. After Joe Haden abandoned the No. 21, which he purchased from Robert Golden, for Mike Mitchell’s vacated No. 23, it seems safety Sean Davis is joining in the number fun by changing his own jersey digits. New Number Alert ...

Sean Davis idolized Sean Taylor. Now, he can wear his number.

Sean Taylor died more than 10 years ago, midway through his fourth season in Washington. Between the way he played safety — ferocious, frightening, skilled beyond belief — and the way he died — shot in the femoral artery during a home invasion — his memory was guaranteed to stick.
Mel Kiper re-grades the Pittsburgh Steelers 2017 NFL Draft class

Mel Kiper re-grades the Pittsburgh Steelers 2017 NFL Draft class

When Mel Kiper Jr. says anything related to football, people get angry. Just wait till you see him re-grade the Steelers’ 2017 draft class. The past few years the Pittsburgh Steelers have been doing a tremendous job drafting NFL ready players who can contribute right away. Whether you are referring to the trio of Artie Burns, Sean Davis and Javon Hargrave in the 2016 NFL Draft class, or T.J. Watt and JuJu Smith-Schuster of the 2017 class, it is always difficult to look back in hindsight and re-evaluate the players who haven’t had time to fully develop at the professional...
