Bengals offensive line continues to mix it up; Cordy Glenn likes what he has seen

Cordy Glenn likes what he has seen so far from the Bengals offense, and while he is limited in practice, the Bengals have been playing musical chairs along the offensive line. The story so far for veterans during the Bengals OTAs has been coming along slowly. High-profile guys like A.J. Green haven’t been run ragged, and injured or often injured guys like Tyler Eifert, Shawn Williams and the newest Bengals left tackle Cordy Glenn have all been given time to recover from injuries. It makes sense given how fast the season is approaching, and that an injury during practices with shorts...

Bengals DBs Tyrice Beverette and Trayvon Henderson turning heads in OTAs

These two undrafted free agents are already starting to make a name for themselves. Safety is quickly turning into one of the most interesting positions to watch for the Bengals in 2018. They may already have two established starters in George Iloka and Shawn Williams, but the competition behind them may be as good as any position on the roster. We know that already includes special teams ace Clayton Fejedelem, do-it-all defender Brandon Wilson, cornerback/safety hybrid Josh Shaw, and second-round rookie Jessie Bates. But while those guys will get most of the attention going into...

Shawn Williams steps up as a leader in the Bengals secondary

Shawn WIlliams wants to make sure his rookie safeties take advantage of having a couple of veterans at their position. The theme for the Bengals secondary this offseason has been paying it forward. We have already talked about Dre Kirkpatrick stepping up by teaching the corners the Bengals drafted this offseason. Shawn Williams has started his own efforts in helping out the rookies at his position as well. “Today I felt like communication was something we could get better at. That’s what we’ve been emphasizing,” Williams told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “Just let (the rookies)...

5 Bengals players sidelined to start OTAs

5 Bengals players sidelined to start OTAs

Tyler Eifert was among those not getting a full workload in during the Bengals’ first OTA session. The Bengals began OTAs on Tuesday, but several players were limited or sidelined for various reasons. That included rookie wide receiver Auden Tate, tight end Tyler Kroft, offensive tackle Jake Fisher, safety Shawn Williams and tight end Tyler Eifert. Eifert was the least surprising of the bunch, being that he’s recovering from multiple surgeries from the 2017 season. That included back surgery and a procedure to remove a cyst from his knee. The good news is Eifert is expected to be...
