Ravens sign WR Griff Whalen, release OL Tony Bergstrom and CB Sheldon Price

Ravens sign WR Griff Whalen, release OL Tony Bergstrom and CB Sheldon Price

Simply put, the Baltimore Ravens receiving core is banged up. Jeremy Maclin missed week six due to a shoulder injury, Breshad Perriman exited the game early with a concussion and Mike Wallace is dealing with a back injury. Due to the lack of healthy wide receivers, the team needed to add depth along the unit. To make matters worse, the team is still missing offensive guard Matt Skura and running back Terrance West. They were also without Ronnie Stanley, Maxx Williams, and Benjamin Watson during Wednesdays' session. On Thursday, the Ravens officially signed wide receiver Griff Whalen. In...

Ravens-Bears week six inactives: Jeremy Maclin inactive for week six

The Ravens have released their list of inactive players for their week six matchup against the Chicago Bears. Today's inactives vs. the Bears. pic.twitter.com/f58q6I7Gom— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) October 15, 2017 Matt Skura and Terrance West were ruled out earlier in the week. Tim Williams and Brandon Williams were not expected to play either. The first four inactives do not come as a surprise. Surprisingly, Jeremy Maclin is inactive. He was battling a shoulder injury, but ultimately, Maclin was ruled out for today’s game against the Bears. Michael Campanaro should see an...

Alex Collins and Javorius Allen pick up the running game for the injured Terrance West

Alex Collins and Javorius Allen pick up the running game for the injured Terrance West

Collins and Buck were key in the win The Baltimore Ravens team that showed up in Oakland was the same unit that started the season 2-0. It was much needed. Baltimore’s offense was balanced and effective, and a big part of that was the play from the running backs. The Ravens started quickly. On the first play of the game, Joe Flacco connected with Mike Wallace for 52 yards. Terrance West run for 13 yards two plays later, however, he would go down with a calf injury. West was ruled out for the remainder of the game. The Ravens would score, but the team would have to pick up the slack...

Ravens-Raiders week five game recap and highlights

The Ravens headed to Oakland in week five to face the Raiders. Below is a quick recap of the game: First Quarter: The Ravens started out on offense. On the very first play, Joe Flacco aired it out deep to Mike Wallace for a 52-yard gain. Terrance West is helped off the field and carted to the locker room. The Ravens cap this drive off with a two-yard touchdown by Vince Mayle. Overall, it was a five-play, 75-yard drive for the Ravens. Carl Davis, Terrance West, both downgraded to OUT vs. Raiders

Carl Davis, Terrance West, both downgraded to OUT vs. Raiders

During the first half, the Baltimore Ravens lost two players to injury, Carl Davis and Terrance West. Their update has been reported by CBS, and both players will not be returning against the Oakland Raiders. Carl Davis suffered a hamstring injury, and walked off the field. Terrance West suffered a left calf injury and needed help off the field, which included zero pressure on the left leg. He was carted off the sideline to the locker room. Following the game, I expect the Ravens to give a better report, or at least offer some sort of update.

Is Alex Collins worth the risk?

Is Alex Collins worth the risk?

Baltimore is now heavily relying on a risky running back The Baltimore Ravens, of all teams, don't have a running game. Whether it's because of the running backs, the offensive line, the quarterback, the coaching or anything else, the team has simply lacked a rushing attack over the last two weeks, and the last two years. Baltimore got off to a good start running the football the first two games against Cincinnati and Cleveland with the duo of Terrance West and Buck Allen. Alex Collins, however, would emerge a bit against the Browns after he was promoted from the practice squad for the...

Ravens QB Joe Flacco, “I sucked. It wasn’t good”

Ravens QB Joe Flacco, “I sucked. It wasn’t good”

In week four, the Ravens hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers. Baltimore lost 26-9, and the offense struggled. The group was unable to extend drives, create holes for Alex Collins or Terrance West and they were unable to protect Joe Flacco. After the game, Flacco said, “I sucked. It wasn’t good”. Flacco: "i sucked. It wasn't good."— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiecsun) October 1, 2017 This is an interesting quote from the Ravens franchise quarterback. He struggled in this one, but Flacco was not getting any sort of help. Several times his receivers dropped the ball. Mike Wallace dropped a...

Javorius Allen entered cut down day on the bubble, now he is one of the key cogs of the Ravens offense

Javorius Allen entered cut down day on the bubble, now he is one of the key cogs of the Ravens offense

Just a few short weeks ago, the Ravens wrapped up their preseason finale against the Saints, finishing off a 4-0 preseason for the second straight year. But cutdown day loomed ahead for these Ravens, and debates raged regarding who should stay and who should go. Looking at the running back position, Terrance West and Danny Woodhead were the only locks to make the roster, while it appeared that Javorius “Buck” Allen and Taquan Mizzell were fighting for the final spot. Mizzell had been a star of the preseason, and there were many who believed that the undrafted free agent should make the...
