KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that Tyler Bray has torn the ACL in his left knee, putting his future with the franchise in doubt and creating space for Terrelle Pryor at backup quarterback. Bray spent last season on injured reserve after spraining an ankle in the preseason. The move allowed the Chiefs to keep him along with Alex Smith, Chase Daniel and Aaron Murray. Pryor, a former Raiders quarterback, recently agreed to a deal with the Chiefs. read more

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs signed Terrelle Pryor to a one-year deal Wednesday to provide competition at the backup quarterback spot, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Chiefs had not announced the deal. On Wednesday, the Chiefs added a couple of intriguing athletes to their roster: Quarterback Terrelle Pryor and wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers. Pryor spent this past season with the Seahawks. He hasn't appeared in a game since 2013 while with the Oakland Raiders. By adding him, the Chiefs currently have five quarterbacks. Rogers didn't play in 2014 after the Colts cut him in late September following a DUI arrest. The 23-year-old was a workout warrior at the 2013 combine and flashed his big-play skills during a 107-yard, two-score performance in his NFL regular-season debut on Dec. 8 of that...

What they're saying about the Chiefs two new players. The Kansas City Chiefs signed two free agents on Wednesday -- QB Terrelle Pryor and WR Da'Rick Rogers. You don't see a lot of signings on a random Wednesday in January so I was a little surprised by both moves. With the Pryor signing, the Chiefs are adding their fifth quarterback. I really want to know how Pryor affects the rest of the Chiefs quarterbacks, if at all. I don't think they can carry five quarterbacks for very long because there aren't enough reps to go around. With the Rogers signing, the Chiefs are getting an athletic...

The Chiefs signed former Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor. So I'm surprised: The Kansas City Chiefs DID sign quarterback Terrelle Pryor today. This according to Pryor's Twitter account (and further confirmed by the Star's Terez Paylor). Glad to Join!!! #Work http://t.co/yCse6F27Td pic.twitter.com/kSnwWtvvFx — Terrelle Pryor (@TerrellePryor) January 8, 2015 Also working out for the Chiefs on Wednesday was free agent and former CFL receiver Duron Carter, son of Cris Carter. Pryor and Carter briefly spent some time together at Ohio State so I thought that may have been part of the connection for...

In addition to Cris Carter's son, Duron Carter, reportedly working out for the Kansas City Chiefs today, there is a report that free agent QB Terrelle Pryor is working out for the Chiefs. This according to Pro Football Talk. Terrelle Pryor is working out for the Chiefs today as a QB only, per league source. — ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) January 7, 2015 Well, well, well. This is some interesting news, especially that part about this being a QB-workout specifically. Pryor is an excellent athlete at 6'4 and 233 pounds so some people have wondered if he could be a receiver in the...
