Raiders receive a 7th round pick The Oakland Raiders have traded quarterback Terrelle Pryor to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2014 seventh-round draft pick. The Raiders were expected to release Pryor Tuesday if a deal wasn't worked out. The Seahawks wouldn't have had much chance of getting Pryor had that happened, since Seattle would have been last in the waiver wire order. (ESPN) FF Today's Take: The Seahawks already have three QBs on the roster - Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson and B.J. Daniels. Pryor will compete with Daniels for the No. 3 job and won't be fantasy relevant in...

Seahawks’ Russell Wilson looking forward to working with new teammate Terrelle Pryor

Count Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson among those excited about the team’s acquisition of former Oakland Raiders signal-caller Terrelle Pryor on Monday. Then again, would he tell the media if he weren’t excited about the move? Whatever the case, Wilson had nothing but praise for Pryor on Wednesday during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio. […]

NFL.com: Russell Wilson looking forward to working with Terrelle Pryor

NFL.com has a recap this morning of some of what Russell Wilson had to say on an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio today, Wilson's first comments since the team traded for Terrelle Pryor on Monday. Wilson, as might be expected, welcomes the addition of Pryor, saying: "I think the thing about our quarterback room is that we want to be the hardest-working guys in the room, and the hardest-working guys in the building. That's the way we look at it. I know that Terrelle will bring that to the table. We're looking forward to that. I'm looking forward to just being around him and getting out there....

Terrelle Pryor could play slash role for SEA - Terrelle Pryor (QB) Seattle Seahawks

GM John Schneider didn't rule out using Terrelle Pryor in a slash role.

Who’s left from Al Davis Raiders?

There’s lots of talk about how Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie wants “his guys,” speculation that only increased when left tackle Jared Veldheer and defensive end Lamarr Houston departed during free agency to the Cardinals and Bears. With the departure of Terrelle Pryor _ Davis’ last draft selection in the 2011 supplemental draft _ only […]

Terrelle Pryor has talent to be Seahawks’ latest reclamation project

Terrelle Pryor can be saved from the NFL scrapheap by Pete Carroll, but only if he realizes he needs the Seahawks more than they need him.

A look at news and stories from around the league Terrelle Pryor traded to Seahawks - Field GullsThe Seahawks have traded a 7th round pick to the Raiders for Terrelle Pryor. The Seahawks appear to be taking a flier on the QB, and it seems unlikely he will remain on the roster. Rumor Alert!!! The Value of the 2nd Overall Pick May Radically Improve - Turf Show TimesAfter a report last week that Jadeveon Clowney was already informed he was going first overall, a new report has surfaced that they might be more inclined to take someone else. Schneider on SiriusXM: Pryor is a QB and no timetable for Sherman extension

Pick or player: 10 notable NFL trades of players for draft picks

The Seahawks gave up very little in order to gain the rights to Terrelle Pryor. How often have these sorts of deals worked out in the past? Everyone was pretty surprised by Monday's trade by the Seattle Seahawks to (it's honestly just really hard to not use the word "acquire" out of habit) obtain the services of Terrelle Pryor from the Oakland Raiders. But it's surprising only due to the fact that nobody knew we were even looking to acquire another quarterback. It still sort of seems like Pryor is a longshot to make the final roster, no matter the position, but that's not really the point...

Some more on Pryor

The Seattle Seahawks front office has earned a reputation as an unpredictable lot. They furthered that Monday. The Seahawks traded their 2014 seventh-round pick, No. 247 overall, for Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor. That Pryor was traded is not surprising. That the Seahawks acquired him is. Pryor started nine games last season for the Raiders, who selected him out of Ohio State in the 2011 Supplemental Draft. He’s an intriguing athlete who has struggled as a quarterback. “Terrelle is an incredibly explosive athlete, and we’re excited for him to come in and compete,”...

No indication of a position switch for Pryor

No indication of a position switch for Pryor

With Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson solid #1 and #2 QBs, fans have been wondering what role the Seahawks FO envisions for Terrelle Pryor. Well, keep wondering... Terrelle Pryor is fast, tall and not particularly good at throwing the football. Looking at him out of college the main knock was he has a weak-to-average arm and slow release, which hasn't really changed since he came into the NFL, which has limited his performance as a starting quarterback (more so than his mental acuity/struggles with the system). Given that, and given that the Seahawks have a pro bowl starter at QB with a...

Raiders deal Pryor to Seahawks

The Oakland Raiders made good on their intention of parting ways with Terrelle Pryor prior to the start of offseason workouts, dealing the deposed starting quarterback to the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Monday. The Raiders' Terrell Pryor, running in the second quarter Friday, forced a pass that was intercepted in the end zone.

QB Terrelle Pryor sent to Seahawks

The Terrelle Pryor experiment in Oakland has ended.  Yesterday the team announced that Oakland has traded the maligned QB to Seattle for a seventh round pick in next months NFL Draft.   Pryor was the last player personally drafted by late owner Al Davis and went 3-6 as a started for the Raiders.  Rumors have been […]

Closing the book on Oakland's Terrelle Pryor saga: The Beginning

It's done. Terrelle Pryor is no longer a member of the Oakland Raiders. And so ends the saga of one of the most polarizing figures in Raiders recent memory. To understand it fully we must start from the beginning and work our way to present day. And when I say the beginning, I mean way back. This story begins in Jeanette Pennsylvania (told you, it was the beginning). He was a two-sport star at Jeanette High school and verbally committed to play basketball at the University of Pittsburgh. That was until he ended up the top recruit in the nation as a football player which changed his...

Closing the book on Oakland's Terrelle Pryor saga: The Arrival

Closing the book on Oakland's Terrelle Pryor saga: The Arrival

In part two of this three part part series, Terrelle Pryor arrives with the Oakland Raiders. CLICK HERE to return to The Beginning. On April 23, 2011 the Oakland Raiders drafted Terrelle Pryor in the third round of the supplemental draft. Afterward they announced that their intention was for him to play quarterback first and foremost. With the NFL lockout going on, the supplemental draft happened during training camp. Four days after he was chosen by the Raiders, he arrived in Napa, just in time for the final day of camp. In that one day of practice, he looked worse throwing the football...
