Which player do you think is underrated on the Chicago Bears?

Windy City Gridiron — Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has dropped his annual list of overrated and underrated players for each team in the NFL. Here's who he picked as the most underrated Chicago Bear. Underrated: CB Tim Jennings. He isn't elite like some Bears fans would make you think, but he is coming off an impressive season. The question now is whether he can do it again. Don't count me among those that believe Jennings is elite. I think he's a good player that recognized a deficiency in his game, and worked very hard to improve last off season. If he continues the physical aspect of his game, and ma...

Charles Tillman is #34 in the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2013

Windy City Gridiron — The NFL Network has Charles Tillman at #34 in their annual Top 100 Players list for 2013. Tillman is the 4th Bear to show up on the NFLN Top 100, joining Lance Briggs, Tim Jennings, and Julius Peppers. To the outsider looking in at Charles Tillman's career, he might say that the 32 year old corner back is getting better with age. He wasn't named to a Pro Bowl until his 9th season, and he followed up that honor with a trip back in his 10th. His 10th season, 2012, is also the first time he made the All Pro team. Is Tillman just a late bloomer, or has the NFL not been paying attention to ...

Chicago Bears Tim Jennings is #69 in the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2013

Windy City GridironTim Jennings' 2012 season was a lucky seventh for him. Chicago Bears Blog | ESPN Chicago — With their top four cornerbacks (Charles Tillman, Tim Jennings, Kelvin Hayden and Zack Bowman) signed only through 2013, the feeling is the Chicago Bears will look to select a cornerback during NFL Draft weekend. The question is when. The top of the draft is littered with talented cornerbacks who could fit the Bears' needs, including Florida State's Xavier Rhodes, Washington's Desmond Trufant, Mississippi State's Darius Slay and Johnthan Banks and Boise State's Jamar Taylor, a former teammate of the Bears 2012 first round draft choice Shea McClellin.

Tim Jennings Earned One Million Pay Raise in 2013

Windy City Gridiron — Maybe Tim Jennings should go to Las Vegas this offseason if he's this good at betting. The defensive back's contract extension, signed this offseason, included an interesting escalator/de-escalator clause which could have cost him up to $1.6 million had he had a bad year; conversely, his Pro Bowl trip and nine interceptions turned that clause into a $1 million escalator that makes his base pay for the year up to $4.25 million. Added with his roster bonus and workout bonus, with his signing bonus included as well, he can collect $4.6 million in 2013 and have a cap number of $5.1. Trigge...

Bears free agency preview: Cornerbacks

Chicago Bears Blog | ESPN Chicago — ESPNChicago examines potential unrestricted free agents at positions of need for the Bears. With veterans Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings coming off Pro Bowl seasons, cornerback is one of the Bears' strengths heading into the 2013 season. Tillman, who turns 32 this month, is worth every penny of the $8 million ($7.950 million base salary, $50,000 workout bonus) he is scheduled to pocket next fall. In fact, the discussion should turn to whether Tillman deserves another contract extension sometime in the offseason.
