Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree may be suspended

After initially reporting that suspensions would be unlikely for Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is now saying both players could be suspended by the league for fighting in Week 12. “The original thought was that they were just going to be fined, that suspensions were not likely because rarely do players get ejected then face additional suspensions,” Rapoport said on NFL Total Access on Monday evening. “However, I am now told that suspensions are now possible for Aqib Talib and for Michael Crabtree. “The reason is...

Steve Smith shares hilarious UFC poster featuring Talib and Crabtree

The most entertaining part of the Broncos’ 21-14 loss to the Raiders on Sunday was cornerback Aqib Talib and receiver Michael Crabtree starting a fight. The Internet loved it so much that somebody made a mock UFC poster — former NFL receiver Steve Smith shared it on Twitter: Haha yall boys were throwing hands yesterday @AqibTalib21 pic.twitter.com/gCoeA5Og5A — Steve Smith Sr (@89SteveSmith) November 27, 2017 Former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson responded, too. Paxton Lynch out with injury, Trevor Siemian will start

The Broncos are going back to Trevor Siemian. Second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch suffered a high ankle sprain in a 21-14 loss to the Raiders on Sunday and he will be out this week and “maybe longer,” according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Coach Vance Joseph confirmed the injury on Monday, stating that Lynch will be out for the next two-four weeks. CBS shows hilarious stat about Michael Crabtree and Aqib Talib

The graphics crew working NFL games for CBS apparently has a great sense of humor. Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree were both ejected Sunday after getting into a fight. Talib managed to break Crabtree’s chain necklace during the brawl, just as he did last season. That led CBS to air this graphic: Important stat from CBS: #Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree has now lost two chains to #Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib. Oakland Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree and Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib were both ejected Sunday after starting a big brawl. As Talib made his way to the locker room, he was escorted by Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, who seemed genuinely friendly opposed to perhaps taunting the cornerback. Lynch knows what it feels like to be ejected — he was kicked out of a game on Oct. 19 after making contact with an official. NFL will review Crabtree-Talib fight, no suspensions expected

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib and Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree were both ejected Sunday after exchanging punches during a big brawl. Now the NFL is reviewing the incident, but suspensions are not expected. The Aqib Talib/Michael Crabtree/chain snatching fight will be reviewed for possible discipline, source said. No decision until a full review, but any talk of suspension at this point is premature. Rarely has a player been suspended after being ejected. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 27, 2017 Both players could be fined and they may face additional...

Watch Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree get ejected for fighting

The 3-8 Denver Broncos may be hard to watch, but at least cornerback Aqib Talib keeps things entertaining! During a 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders, Talib got in a fight with receiver Michael Crabtree, which led to a big brawl. When the fight died down, both Talib and Crabtree were ejected. CRABTREE VS. 3 Broncos defenders performed well in loss to Raiders

3 Broncos defenders performed well in loss to Raiders

A seventh straight loss and many are starting to wonder if this is a worse team than when Josh McDaniels was in charge of the Broncos. At 3-8 overall, Denver’s playoff chances are nearly nonexistent. Still, there was a lot of resolve and fight as the Broncos tried to come back from 21 points down on Sunday afternoon. Alas, it was too little, too late. Three defenders stood out in the comeback attempt, according to stats and grades provided courtesy of Pro Football Focus: 1. Zach Kerr, 82.3 overall grade For the first time all year, Zach Kerr makes PFF’s list if top performers. And for...

Broncos find no spark, and continue to spiral against the Raiders

It was all set up for Paxton Lynch and Bill Musgrave to come in and fire up the stagnant Denver Broncos offense, but it never happened. It was supposed to be the triumphant entrance of the first round pick. The Denver Broncos were supposed to put an end to their long losing streak riding the wave of Paxton Lynch fever. There was supposed to be a glimmer of hope as the offense immediately clicked under a new offensive coordinator in Bill Musgrave. The #Broncos plan is going perfectly, even if it wasn't in the cards for #BroncosCountry. As @AdamMalnati16 & I said on the @MileHighReport...

With Paxton Lynch injured, Broncos may go back to Trevor Siemian

Broncos second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch suffered a right ankle injury during a 21-14 loss to the Raiders in Week 12 and was replaced by Trevor Siemian, who helped Denver launch a mini-comeback that fell just short. Now coach Vance Joseph has a decision to make. “I’m not sure,” Joseph said Sunday evening when asked if Siemian will start in Week 13. “We’ll watch the tape and see where we are. We’ll see where Paxton is with his injury and obviously, we’ll do what’s best for our football team next week.” Lynch’s injury is “not serious,” according to NFL Network’s...

Vance Joseph called Aqib Talib’s actions unacceptable

But he may change his mind after he watches the tape of Michael Crabtree’s actions leading up to the brawl. Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was ejected from the game after a fight with Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the first quarter. The fight cleared benches and took several minutes for referees and coaches to regain control of the football field. After the game, head coach Vance Joseph wasn’t happy with Talib’s actions. “I don’t like it and it’s unacceptable,” Joseph said. “We can’t lose our best players because of personal battles. That’s a...

Winners and losers from Broncos' 21-14 loss to Raiders

Another week, but the same story for the Denver Broncos. Seven losses in a row for the team, something fans haven’t witnessed since the 1960s. The Broncos fell to 3-8 on the season following a 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Like many games during this horrendous losing streaks, the Broncos had their opportunities. Oakland isn’t a great team. In fact, they’re not even a good team. They just happened to be playing against a team that is among the worst in the league right now. Winner: Cody Latimer Neville E. 4 takeaways from Denver Broncos' 21-14 loss to Raiders

In Elway we trust… right? The Broncos have now continued their rapid tailspin to an embarrassing seventh consecutive loss, five of which have come by double digits. Not only is this team racking up losses like it’s their day job, but more importantly they are not even slightly competitive in these games. Let’s look at four takeaways from the Broncos’ 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders. 1. Aqib Talib’s brawl with Michael Crabtree was the most entertainment this football team has provided in months For the second time in as many years, Aqib Talib has managed to snatch a gold chain off...

Instant reactions: Broncos fall deeper into the abyss with loss against Raiders

Just how far down the rabbit hole of ineptitude will the 2017 Denver Broncos go? There aren’t many sure-fire bets in this world, but picking the Denver Broncos to lose on Sunday’s is probably as close as you can get. The chaotic franchise continued their downward spiral into the abyss after losing to the Oakland Raiders 21-14 on the road in the Black Hole. It’s the team’s seventh-straight loss — and their longest losing streak in over fifty years. I thought the worst of it would be over by now, but apparently not. Each and every week, the Broncos seem to one-up themselves on...

Trevor Siemian proves himself in Broncos 21-14 loss to Raiders

The Denver Broncos finally figured out who the best quarterback on the roster is and that is Trevor Siemian. The fire in their bellies we’d hoped to see from the Denver Broncos was actually just a dumpster fire of a team imploding. The Oakland Raiders quickly put up a two touchdown lead and essentially ended all hope for Denver. Trevor Siemian came back into the lineup for an injured Paxton Lynch and would lead the Broncos to a near comeback in the final quarter and half coming up short 21-14. First Quarter Just seven plays into the game Chris Harris Jr. was sucker punched in a foul that...
