Jordan Cameron Has #3 Suckiest Contract According to PFF

Nathan Jahnke, the Director of Analytics at PFF, has been publishing a series of articles about the best and worst contracts in the NFL by position. Jordan Cameron is ranked #3 worst contract for a TE. Pro Football Focus reached the TE installment in their best/worst NFL contracts by position. Our buddy Jordan Cameron was mentioned, and unfortunately, it was in the "worst" category: After two solid years as a receiving tight end in Cleveland, the Dolphins signed Cameron to a two-year contract, and the first season of that deal was a flop. Last year, his 0.97 yards per route run mark was...

The Splash Zone 7/1/16: Mike Pouncey Sets Goals For The Offensive Line

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours. To put it nicely, the Dolphins offensive line the past few (and even more) years has been pretty bad. It seems like the front office finally invested into the weak link with the addition of Laremy Tunsil. However, Tunsil will have to battle to start at guard and I don't see any reason why he will not be a starter by the start of the season. The Dolphins Pro-Bowl center Mike Pouncey has made it clear that he wants to keep Ryan Tannehill and...

What Andrew Luck’s new deal means for the Bills, Tyrod Taylor

Andrew Luck just signed an enormous extension. Let’s examine what it means for the Bills and Tyrod Taylor. My friend, Matt, texted me right after the announcement of Andrew Luck’s extension was announced. He wrote: “Luck has to be the Bills’ second-favorite quarterback now.” “So Doug Whaley can say the best young QB in the league gets $23M per year.” “He’s begging to say that sentence right after Tyrod Taylor’s agent Adisa Bakari tells him how much Brock Osweiler makes.” Photo by Brett Carlsen/ That, right there... is a tremendous point. Breaking down the Miami Dolphins’ 2016 Draft Class: Jakeem Grant

With the 186th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select; Jakeem Grant, wide receiver, Texas Tech The Dolphins went into the draft with one of the NFL’s best, and youngest wide-receiver cores. After selecting Rutgers’ wide receiver Leonte Carroo in the third round, the Miami Dolphins drafted another wide receiver in the sixth round. The difference between Carroo and Grant are night and day, however; the skill-set Grant brings to the Dolphins is electrifying. He adds a play-making ability that very few wide receivers possess. Here is a look at Jakeem Grant, and what he...

Top 10 players the Buffalo Bills face in 2016

Who are the best players the Bills are slated to face this season? The Buffalo Bills will be challenged in 2016 with one of the league’s toughest schedules. With a difficult slate of games, comes some of the NFL’s top talent. In 2015, the Bills faced the likes of JJ Watt, Andrew Luck and Odell Beckham Jr. Here’s my list of the Top 10 players the Bills will face this season. 10. Marshall Yanda, RG Baltimore Ravens Sure, it may seem weird to see a guard make this list, but Yanda certainly deserves it. Yanda, in his 10th NFL season, is a dynamite pass-blocking guard. He’s both...

Sheldon Richardson suspended for first game of 2016

Drats The NFL has finally made their decision on Sheldon Richardson, suspending him for Week 1 of 2016 vs. the Bengals. Jets announce that Sheldon Richardson is suspended for 1st game of 2016 season for violating Personal Conduct Policy — Manish Mehta (@MMehtaNYDN) June 30, 2016 This suspension stems from an incident that occurred last year, where Richardson allegedly had marijuana and a weapon in a vehicle and drove over 140 miles per hour. In January, Richardson pled guilty to reduced charges and was sentenced to 2 years probation and 100 hours of community service. All things...

Who are the most important people in the Buffalo Bills organization?

USA Today ranked three people from the Bills in its top 100 list. Who do you think deserves a spot? On Wednesday, USA Today published an article that is the embodiment of "offseason writing:" A list of the 100 "most important" people in the NFL. As a subjective piece with nebulous criteria, this list naturally sets up an ambiguous ranking that is sure to generate hours of debates and discussions. I mean, honestly: Cam Newton as the third-most important person in the NFL? Ahead of Bill Belichick, DeMaurice Smith, and every team owner not named Jerry Jones? I have to be careful; I almost fell...

Imagine what the Patriots could do with a “lottery” draft pick

With the 2016 NBA Draft in the books, let’s think about what the Patriots – and Bill Belichick – could do with a top-3 draft pick. Well, the NBA Draft lottery, and the draft itself, is over.  The Boston Celtics didn’t get screwed, per se, but they didn’t exactly land a great pick either.  In a draft year that was largely considered to consist of two players (Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram) and everyone else, the Celts wound up with the number three pick and took Cal forward Jaylen Brown.  Some people were happy!  Some people were not.   Go read www.celticsblog.com for all...

How Tyrod Taylor ran 2015

The first-year quarterback made waves and broke records with his legs in 2015. Were there any hints or trends that defenses might be able to key in on in 2016? Tyrod Taylor's greatest assets on the field are his legs. I don't think many of you are in disagreement with me on that statement. His speed is what put him on Rex Ryan's radar in the first place, and his ability to elude defenders is a major reason he was able to earn the Buffalo Bills' starting quarterback job in 2015. Despite missing two games to injury, Taylor was able to establish new records for rushing yards by a Bills...

Dolphins running backs: Better, worse, or same in 2016?

A position by position look at the Miami Dolphins’ roster, and whether the team is better, worse, or the same as the 2015 roster. Every year, NFL rosters see change, whether it is free agents moving to new clubs, trades being executed, or players retiring. Sometimes, those changes involve depth players, and sometimes they are starters who should have had bigger roles in their previous team’s offense before departing. The latter would be the case for today, with the Miami Dolphins on the wrong side of the starter’s free agent signing. Yesterday began a series of articles here on The...

DeflateGate, Patriots fill the NFL’s 100 Most Important People rankings

The Patriots are still at the center of all things NFL. USA Today compiled a ranking of the NFL’s 100 Most Important People. The New England Patriots are well represented, as are the persons heavily involved in DeflateGate. It’s no surprise that the farce of an investigation led by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell hangs over the league- and it’s with this in mind that we look to the results. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones leads the list, which is fair. He’s taken over for Patriots owner Robert Kraft as the most influential owner, helping lead the Rams transition to Los Angeles and...
