Dolphins random fact of the week: Olivier Vernon in position to move into top 10 on team sacks list

A look at Olivier Vernon's all-time position in Miami Dolphins history. Let's face it, July is kind of boring when it comes to football news (other than mass suspension days like yesterday). To try to shake off some of the boredom, I decided I would look for a random fact about the team to share with you each Friday. It really could be anything, from stats to jerseys to stadium. Whatever I happen to find and feel like sharing. This week, I took a look at the team's all-time sacks list. Cameron Wake is second all-time for the Dolphins with 63 career sacks. Unless he rips off a 70 sack...

Dolphins have the most to lose with bad 2015

NFL.com released their top teams with the most to lose this upcoming season. The Miami Dolphins sit atop the list. The Miami Dolphins spent a lot of time and money this offseason re-working the club into a team that should be making a Playoff push when December rolls around. A completely rebuilt wide receiver corps, a move to the team's own young developing players, and, of course, the signing of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, and there really should not be any excuses this year. That is exactly why NFL.com's Conor Orr lists Miami as the team with the most to lose by flopping in...

The Miami Dolphins are celebrating their 50th anniversary season this year. We take a look back at the last 50 years to build the all-time team depth chart. The Miami Dolphins will celebrate their 50th NFL season this year, spanning from 1966 to 2015. Thousands of players have hit the field for the team over that time, helping the team appear in five Super Bowls, winning two of them, including the only undefeated season in league history. Buffalo Bills, New York Jets among NFL's healthiest teams in 2013-14

If the Bills are going to end their 15-year playoff drought in 2015, they're going to need this trend to continue. The Buffalo Bills were one of the healthiest teams in the NFL under former head coach Doug Marrone, according to a recent study of games lost. As this Reddit graphic shows, the Bills were fourth in the league in terms of games lost to injury over the past two seasons helmed by Marrone. In 2014, Buffalo's only major injury happened during the offseason, when Kiko Alonso tore an ACL while working out in Oregon. C.J. Spiller was placed on short-term injured reserve with...

Ron Jaworski on 2015 Buffalo Bills: "It's a playoff team to me"

Jaworski also compares Buffalo's defense to two of the best units in the history of the sport, so yeah, it's probably still offseason silly time, isn't it? The Buffalo Bills haven't been to the playoffs since the 1999 season, but one prominent ESPN analyst thinks that streak is about to end. "Yes, it’s a playoff team to me," Ron Jaworski told BuffaloBills.com from his golf tournament in East Aurora earlier this week. "The Buffalo Bills will be a playoff team. There will be great energy coming to Western New York once again." Noted for his analysis of quarterbacks, Jaworski gives the edge...

Over or under: 2.5 former Jets making Rex Ryan's first Bills team

The Buffalo Bills have now signed five former Jets players - all on offense - this offseason. How many of them will make Rex Ryan's first opening-day roster in Buffalo? Nepotism is alive and well at One Bills Drive. With the Buffalo Bills' recent signing of tackle Wayne Hunter, former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has signed a fifth player from his former team - and all of them play offense. The list includes receiver Percy Harvin, fullback John Conner, tight end Matthew Mulligan, quarterback Chris Simms, and Hunter. It isn't an uncommon practice for coaches to sign their former...

Does Richardson Suspension Change Wilkerson's Contract

This is a question I've been asked several times over the last 12 hours. In the wake of the news that Sheldon Richardson, the Jets star defensive lineman has been suspended for the first four games of the NFL season, several fans have asked me if this will effect the Muhammad Wilkerson contract situation. In the answer is, probably not a great deal, but maybe a little. On the base of it, the Jets won't be clamouring to get the Wilkerson contract done this morning. Regardless of whether Richardson was suspended or not, Wilkerson was always going to be a Jet for the 2015 season. He'll just be...
