John Ross missed voluntary workouts due to “tightness”

John Ross missed voluntary workouts due to “tightness”

The injury-plagued receiver missed voluntary practices early on in the summer. As new head coach Zac Taylor gets ready for the 2019 season, along with his first-time coordinators, they want to make sure they have a healthy roster going into the season. Easier said than done. According to Geoff Hobson, third-year wide receiver missed voluntary minicamp this past month due to what he only describes as “tightness.” The silver lining is that most of what Taylor, the play-caller for this upcoming season, is focusing on installing his new scheme, and is less worried about physicality at this...

In speaking with SiriusXM NFL radio recently, the new Bengals head coach made sure to note that the league doesn’t forget about his team this year. Whether it was about Andy Dalton or the team in general, Taylor likes what he’s been building. In case you didn’t know, a lot folks have recently been high on the Cleveland Browns this offseason. It hasn’t been so much the case, in terms of public opinion surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals, given some of their recent marks in media power rankings. Bengals second-round pick Drew Sample impresses at rookie minicamp

The highly-criticized Drew Sample has shined during rookie OTAs. The Cincinnati Bengals sent fans into a frenzy when they drafted Washington Huskies tight end Drew Sample in the second round. The senior wasn’t projected to be a top-100 pick in the draft and was nearly taken within the first 50. That said, the Bengals, drafting to fill an offensive void instead of selecting pure talent, may have struck gold with the Sample. Not expected to be a huge part of the offense, Sample’s addition to the roster should bring both consistency and elite blocking, two things lacking from the numerous...

Tyler Eifert and Ryan Glasgow give positive injury updates

Injuries hit all over the Bengals’ roster during all parts of the 2018 season. A total of seven new starters took the field in their Week 17 loss to the Steelers, but the season-long misfortune wasn’t enough to keep Mike Brown from moving on from Marvin Lewis as the head coach and hiring Zac Taylor. Tight end Tyler Eifert and defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow accounted for two spots on last year’s Injured Reserve list, but Taylor got some good...
