Draftmas List: six draft prospects to watch at Chiefs’ positions of need

Draftmas List: six draft prospects to watch at Chiefs’ positions of need

We’re nearing the end. I’ve got all my prospects done and we only have one more episode of the AP Chiefs Draft Show until our two insta-reaction shows on draft weekend. A little over a week out and the rumors keep getting hotter. We’ve got discussions of a three-team trade between the Bills, Browns and Giants. We’ve got Josh Allen as Cleveland’s pick. Among other things, we have buzz from Daniel Jeremiah that the Chiefs are looking to move into early round two for a cornerback. With that news, I had to at least add one ideal fit to the five other players I was planning on...

Landry got paaaaaaiiiid

Landry got paaaaaaiiiid

Many of you wanted the San Francisco 49ers to do a deal for the former Miami Dolphins wide receiver. Instead the Cleveland Browns got him, but it definitely wasn’t cheap One of the things we didn’t really discuss over the weekend was the contract given to newly acquired Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Landry was involved in a trade with the Miami Dolphins, sending the wide receiver to Cleveland in exchange for a 2018 fourth round and 2019 seventh round pick. Landry was in the final year of his contract so it only goes without saying Cleveland would get an extension going,...

NFL agents’ poll puts Raiders among worst prepared teams during negotiations

NFL agents’ poll puts Raiders among worst prepared teams during negotiations

Recently USA Today did a poll of 25 NFL agents. They were looking to get a sense of how they view NFL teams and that seems to me to be a pretty good way to do that. The results were very revealing. The first portion was which teams were the best and worst prepared during contract negotiations. The Raiders showed up on the list, and it wasn’t among the best. Where Reggie McKenzie and company landed was as the fifth worst prepared in the league. If you consider the poll was taken before the Browns (second worst) hired John Dorsey as GM, the Raiders may well be the fourth worst. What...
