Derek Carr's deal may not impact Kirk Cousins' negotiations the way you think

One variable in Kirk Cousins' contract negotiations has been the status of other quarterbacks — namely Raider Derek Carr and Lion Matthew Stafford — expected to get hefty, market-setting new deals.  On Thursday, Carr signed a five-year contract extension worth $125 million according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. With all due respect to Zeke, Cowboys' OL and others, Dak Prescott is team's most valuable player

Kristi Scales, the sideline reporter for the Dallas Cowboys radio network, answered questions about the team in a live chat Wednesday. Here are some highlights. Which guy makes the bigger impact this year: Maleik Collins or Charles Tapper? Tapper's 2016 rookie season was derailed by a back injury which landed him on injured reserve without a single regular-season...

Rookies and second-year players did not need additional protection by their clubs, meaning that in a hypothetical NFL expansion draft following these same rules the Cowboys’ core would remain mostly intact. Thanks to Will McClay and Dallas’...
