Eagles place DeSean Jackson and Hassan Ridgeway on injured reserve

Photo by Corey Perrine/ Two roster openings. The Philadelphia Eagles officially sent DeSean Jackson and Hassan Ridgeway to injured reserve on Monday afternoon. This news was expected with both players getting hurt during the Eagles’ Week 7 win over the New York Giants. DESEAN JACKSON Jackson is reportedly out for six-to-eight weeks due to a non-displaced fracture in his ankle. If that timeline holds true, Jackson won’t be back until around Week 14 at the earliest. Even if Jackson does make it back, it’s hard to count on the soon-to-be 34-year-old staying healthy. He’s only been...

Philadelphia Eagles discussion board: What if Sean McDermott never left?

Do you ever think about when the Philadelphia Eagles fired Sean McDermott? You’re either a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan or someone with too much time on his or her hands (or both) if you’ve thought about the following statement. Do you ever watch Buffalo Bills games and think to yourself that Philly missed out on […] Philadelphia Eagles discussion board: What if Sean McDermott never left? - Inside the Iggles - Inside the Iggles - Philadelphia Eagles News, Opinion, and Fan Community

Should these Philadelphia Eagles regret signing Javon Hargrave?

Looking back, the Philadelphia Eagles could be feeling buyers’ remorse. No one would blame you if you have mixed feelings about the Philadelphia Eagles and their current 2-4-1 record, but in all honesty, it’s a reflection of how uneven the team has been on the field this season. Quarterback Carson Wentz continues to make head-scratching […] Should these Philadelphia Eagles regret signing Javon Hargrave? - Inside the Iggles - Inside the Iggles - Philadelphia Eagles News, Opinion, and Fan Community

Eagles won’t be facing Odell Beckham Jr. in Week 11

Photo by Justin Casterline/ Key loss for the Browns. The Philadelphia Eagles don’t play the Cleveland Browns until Week 11 but it’s worth taking a peek ahead with the big news that Odell Beckham Jr. is now out for the season due to an ACL injury. OBJ was always a problem for the Eagles to deal with in the past. He logged 61 receptions for 732 yards and six touchdowns against Philly as a member of the New York Giants. It was a relief when Dave Gettleman foolishly traded him out of the NFC East. OBJ would’ve presented a challenge to the Eagles’ defense as a member of the Browns....

Eagles activate practice windows for four players

Photo by Greg Fiume/ Help is on the way. The Philadelphia Eagles officially activated 21-day practice windows for the following four injured reserve members: Jalen Reagor, Jason Peters, T.J. Edwards, and Rudy Ford. This news does NOT mean that they have been fully activated to the 53-man roster just yet. Opening this window merely allows the team to see how the players handle practice before officially using roster spots on them. Still, this is a positive development that indicates the Eagles are getting healthier. It’s not perfectly clear if any or all of these players will be able...

Philadelphia Eagles: D.K. Metcalf has more hustle than Nickell Robey Coleman

BGN Memories: Jerry Robinson remembers the 1980 Eagles

BGN Memories: Jerry Robinson remembers the 1980 Eagles

Robinson started at linebacker for the NFC Champs. With the Eagles off on Sunday, many of you were kicking back in your easy chairs and sofas dressed in comfy pants, a flannel shirt or hoodie and some warm cotton socks, chillin’ out, doing housework and/or watching some football, which makes this the perfect time to check out the latest edition of BGN Memories. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Eagles team to reach the Super Bowl, I’m doing a month-by-month retrospective of the 1980 Eagles. This month, I took a look back at an undefeated month of October, which was led...

Figuring out the next moves on Eagles’ offensive line - NBCSPWhat to do with J.P.? Pederson was non-committal about whether Peters will return to left tackle or play right guard when he’s healthy. Common sense says he should play guard, since the Eagles are more settled with Mailata at left tackle than with Opeta at left guard. But left tackle is more important, and if J.P. is healthy he’s better than Mailata. But he might have an easier time staying healthy at...

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports Some musings from a stress free Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles had a chance to relax this weekend since they already defeated the New York Giants on Thursday night. But even though the Birds didn’t play, they were still impacted by happenings elsewhere in the league.
