The Eagles have a LOT of questions to answer this offseason

The Eagles have a LOT of questions to answer this offseason

Philly’s front office has a lot of critical decisions to make. Not all NFL offseasons are created equal. If you go back to last year, the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t have to face a lot of tough decisions. It was pretty clear that some key role players (Trey Burton, Beau Allen, etc.) would be leaving in free agency. The NFL Draft was going to be relatively uneventful as the Eagles only had five picks to work with. And with the Super Bowl honeymoon in effect, I think it’s safe to say people generally cared about the offseason a little less than usual. That’s not the case this year....

Report: Former Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo hired by Jaguars

Nick Foles to Jacksonville? The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly expected to hire John DeFilippo as their new offensive coordinator, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Flip has been a free agent ever since the Vikings fired him after a Week 14 loss to the Seahawks. Minnesota originally hired him as their offensive coordinator shortly following the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory. As BGN poll results indicate, Eagles fans will be bummed to see that Philly’s former quarterbacks coach won’t be returning to Doug Pederson’s coaching staff in some capacity. ...

Philadelphia Eagles: Don’t expect any changes within the coaching staff

It’s a rough day for the “Fire Jim Schwartz, and Mike Groh” crowd. The Philadelphia Eagles will keep everything the way it is for now. PLUS: Comments on Nick Foles, the coaching staff, and much more. Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson spoke in tandem on Tuesday to wrap up the 2018 season, and spoke with confidence about Carson Wentz being their quarterback moving forward, and Pederson claiming all three coordinators would be back for 2019. Roseman opened with some words about the organization, and specially giving credit to owner Jeffery Lurie and the culture he’s established with the Eagles. Roseman specifically pointed to the character and resiliency of the people in the building, everyone from the front office to the...

Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman addressed the media on Tuesday by stating the obvious about Carson Wentz and Nick Foles. Is there a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia everybody?! It’s going to be an interesting offseason. Nick Foles said it well following the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints: the toughest part about the season being over is knowing it’ll be the last time that exact team will be together. The team is currently projected to be $12.1 million OVER the cap so they’ll have to be wise about how they spend their money. Here’s a complete list of Eagles players that are set to be free...

What will the Jaguars get out of John DeFilippo?

What will the Jaguars get out of John DeFilippo?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are hiring former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback coach John DeFilippo to fill their void at offensive coordinator. The team is scheduled to hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon to introduce him, but what can fans expect from him as a play caller and designer? I’ve reached out to a few people who have covered teams where DeFilippo was employed to get an idea of what to expect. Arif Hasan from The Athletic offered me this perspective on DeFilippo: He’s a talented play designer who’s been pretty open about...

After an extensive search, Coach Doug Marrone found his play-caller for the 2019 season by hiring former Minnesota Vikings assistant John DeFilippo as offensive coordinator on Wednesday.Though the move appears to put the Jaguars in better position to make a push to sign quarterback Nick Foles in free agency because DeFilippo was the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback coach when Foles led them to a Super Bowl victory in 2017.But Marrone said the move had nothing to do with trying [...]
