  • Percy Harvin carted off practice field with undisclosed injury FFToolbox.com Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was reportedly carted off the practice field Saturday, though the nature of his exact injury is still unknown at this time. During 7-on-7 drills in the team's morning session, Harvin first bobbled, then hauled in a pass from quarterback Tarvaris Jackson in what was described as the "catch of the day." Following the reception however, the 2009 offensive rookie of the year lost his helmet, went to the ground, and then tried unsuccessfully to get back up and continue the play. Shortly thereafter, Harvin had to be removed from the field on a cart, thoug...
  • Vikes sign #2 RB Gerhart FFToolbox.com "Get his tail signed," is all it took from Head Coach Brad Childress to get Stanford grad Toby Gerhart into camp. The 51st overall pick in this years' draft, runningback Toby Gerhart did in fact sign his contract on Friday, and anticipates backing up stud Adrian Peterson for the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings now have all of their draft picks signed and are ready to compete in camp. The terms of the deal were not immediately known, but many speculate it will be a four year deal worth $3.767 million which could include $1.939 million in guaranteed money. Toby was awarded the Doak Walker Awa...
  • Broncos trade JJ Arrington to Eagles FFToolbox.com The Denver Broncos felt that they needed a linebacker bad enough, so on Friday they traded away runningback J.J. Arrington, for Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Joe Mays, so says Jason La Canfora of NFL.com. Twentysix year old J.J. was on the shelf all of last season with a knee injury. He had microfracture knee surgery. The Nashville, North Carolina born J.J. is 5'9" and listed as 212 pounds. He attended California College. To date Arrington has not been a featured back as he had dreamed of. Drafted in the second round by the Cardinals, he has a total of 183 rushing attempts for 654 yards f...

  • Donnie Avery puts on weight for durability FFToolbox.com Since the St. Louis Rams are now paying big bucks for their rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, they're going to need somebody to step up at the wide receiver position. A possible favorite to be the go-to guy is Donnie Avery. Avery arrived at training camp 10 pounds heavier, intentionally. "I'm trying to get the weight but keep the speed as well," he said. Avery is expecting a battle at his position to determine the No. 1 receiver. "A lot of guys want to be No. 1. Everybody gets better when you have big competition. I'm confident in myself." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Avery entered the 2009 season as a po...
